I need someone thats a higher up in the company to explain to me this push to use tlife

I had a customer come in to open a new account, but the T-Life app was malfunctioning. It was incorrectly requiring a $2,000 down payment. I verified the customer's available credit, which showed approximately $6,000 in available financing, so there should not have been any down payment required.

Since I was unable to complete the transaction through T-Life due to the system issue, I processed the sale through Legacy to ensure the customer was taken care of. I was later told that using Legacy negatively impacts our T-Life metrics, and my manager expressed concern about it.

From my perspective, the priority should be completing the sale and providing a good customer experience, especially when T-Life is not functioning properly. I understand that leadership wants us to use T-Life whenever possible, and I recognize that my manager is likely following direction from higher levels of the organization. However, it is frustrating to feel penalized for using the only working system available to complete a legitimate sale.

This is a genuine question not an attack on anyone so please be kind and respectful

I genuinely don't understand why so many people care when someone steals from a large corporation, especially one that makes billions of dollars and already budgets for theft through loss prevention. If someone is stealing food from a grocery store, doesn't that say more about the state of the economy and how difficult life has become for some people than it does about the corporation itself?

In my opinion, everyone deserves to eat. It's also worth remembering that grocery stores throw away large amounts of food that never gets sold. While I understand that theft is illegal and creates challenges for businesses, I find it easier to empathize with someone who is desperate enough to steal food than with a corporation that has already planned for a certain amount of inventory loss. To me, situations like these are often a reflection of broader social and economic issues rather than simply an individual making a bad decision
