Navigating Anthony Braxton

My current collection of Anthony Braxton records. All aside from the bottom middle (collaboration with the noise group Wolf Eyes - "Live at Pioneer Works") were found in stores or record fairs so I haven't planned any of these at all. While this has been a fun way to explore around his career, I'd like some specific recommendations as to where to go next. Do you have a favorite recording of his you don't see here? Tell me about it!

Art Book Collection

Having to pack my beloved bookshelf and wanted to share some pictures of my artbook shelves before it goes into long term storage.

If you want to see larger photos of anything, just ask.

State of Miles

Planning a move soon and was putting records away to begin boxing but of course now I'm listening to them and taking them out and enjoying them.

When I look at this photo all I see is enormous holes. The rest of the Prestige stuff is probably next, and then late live work like Agharta.

What an insane discography!!

WORLD PEACE - CONTRARY TO THE ORDER OF CREATION

Full discography release of the best modern "powerviolence" band. Absolutely crushing for the whole run time. The new tracks absolutely slap. Couple still up on Deathwish.

WORLD PEACE - "CONTRARY TO THE ORDER OF CREATION"

The very newly released full discography collection of San Francisco powerviolence/fastcore band World Peace. Two bass players, no guitar, ultra fast beats, and not a hint of melody anywhere. The definitive statement by the best band currently doing this style.

I think there are still a few of these left on Deathwish, they've said they won't be pressed again.

Fun little afternoon dig at The In Groove in Phoenix. Great shop if you're ever in the area. Lots of drool worthy records on the walls and plenty of cheap heat in the bins. Could have easily left with 50 records today if not for damn budgets.

Is Jamal's "Alhambra" the most gorgeous record cover in all of Jazz?

All from a local record fair this morning. Unreal excited about all of these - especially the Yamamoto record (my first!) and the OG Sun Ra.

Also, the best Janet single!

Turrentine is OG and has severe water damage but the disc looks playable, hoping for the best. At $10 you take the risk every time.
