I am slowly getting into the warhammer universe and I have looked for good videogames, of which TW3 seems to stand out
I tried to play it during the free weekend a month ago or so, and I can't say I enjoyed it
the problem is that I have never played grand strategy or any total war, so I got completely overwhelmed by the amount of systems thrown at me in a short time, and also if I started to skip the battles, I noticed the game kind of felt to me like a click simulator more than a game, like I would go turn after turn clicking on buttons to upgrade things, without any actual gameplay beyond that
this was for the tutorial
After that, I tried a couple custom battles with Khorne, which I read is the closest thing to attack command to opposite army and watch
My early impressions were:
Battles feel clunky, for example troops move and turn sluggishly and in a way I don't feel I fully control, as opposed to how RTS games work
I really had no clue what was going on and I felt like I was missing out on so many game mechanics
I saw tons of armies locked behind paid DLC so I am a bit afraid I have to spend a lot of money and buy many DLC to access the good content
I dont' want to make anyone mad and I am not trying to suggest the game is not good, but my subjective experience after playing for a few hours was confusing at best, if not boring
It's more that I would like to find a way to enjoy the game and I am wondering how
Am I to conclude this game is not for me? Or how do complete noobs enter into this game?
i have found a bonfire (whatever they are called) that makes me run across a bridge and some sections for like maybe one minute. i must have missed the bonfire nearby the boss. can anyone tell me where it is? i do not want to do this rum every attempt?

also idk what happened but first try i randomly brought boss to like 10% life barely knowing what i was doing (and it looked like boss got stuck twice), but then on following attempts i got destroyed
In siege why some payers sit on 200 resources instead of buying techpriest for wave 1? as far as I see there is no reason not to do that. they think the game is too easy and want to make it harder? i dont understand
they are there, added them a few seconds ago!
