Should I take A-level maths? (for PPE)

Hi! I'm going into y12 and my current A-level combo is Eng lit, philosophy, econ and politics. I was aiming for a law degree, however I've been leaning more towards PPE because PPE combines all of my interests and is a very flexible degree (which I prefer for the degree to be flexible so I have more job opportunities, while a law degree I feel is more rigid).

However most top unis (and the uni I want to go to) requires A-level maths for PPE and I don't hate maths, I quite enjoy algebra and statistics and stuff but I always struggled with the grade 9 topics at the end of the paper and I really dislike geometry (screw circle theorems).

And like A-level maths is considered extremely rigorous so I'm not sure if I should take it cause I want 4A* at A-level and I don't wanna jepordise my chances. Plus, I'm predicted all 8s and 9s (hopefully all goes well tommorrow!) except a 7 which is in maths so I'm not the worst at maths but comparatively, it is my weakest subject.

But I do enjoy it, and I'm quite hardworking like I'm sure if I tried I could definetly push myself to get an A* but anyway, the point is that should I take maths and do PPE, do PPE without maths but then I can't go to my dream uni, or just stick with law?

Do people actually find work experience with law firms?

Hi! I'm a 16year old looking for law experience and I know it's too early but I really want to study more about law and how lawyers work in a firm and kind of get some experience. And since it's the summer holidays now I thought it would be a great opportunity to try and find some work experience since most of my peers are doing the same, plus it'll be really good on my CV.

I've tried emailing some local law firms but none of them have responded, which is understandable since I guess I'm quite young and I don't think law firms have the time to accomodate for one person. And law firms that do offer some kind of work experience are too far away from me or I don't fit the criteria for accessing work experience with them (since it's mostly targeted towards PRIME students).

Obviously I'm not expecting something really major I'd just like to shadow their work just for a day or maybe ask a few questions regarding working in law. But I've yet to find someone who has acutally done work experience at their local law firm without being connected through family or someone that is under 18 (since most find work experience while doing their law degree)

So the point is that do I still have a chance at actually finding work experience or has anyone done work experience when they were my age? and any other tips or advice is appreciated :)

Is this love bombing/infatuation?

So, during September at the start of the school year I (16F) used to have a crush on this guy (16M) in my school and we used to flirt and go out so naturally I thought he liked me back. Turns out he was doing the same thing with my ex-bestfriend while simultaneously leading me on. After my ex-bestfriend rejected him, he did apologise saying that he liked both me and her and was just confused on what to do, which I understand teen boys have mixed feelings but I was really hurt.

Anyway, during January we then decided to be just friends but again I started to like him, and this time I thought he liked me too cause he would come over sometimes and share secrets. But again turns out he liked another girl and was again doing the same thing with her. And again he said that he liked both me and her and he was sorry again and he didn't mean to lead me on.

The other girl rejected him and then me and him started talking again, this time just as friends. He kept repeating how he beats himself up everyday for the hurt he caused me and that he was really sorry about everything so I thought he changed and I felt really bad. But anyway, during the start of April he confessed that he loved me. And he sent me long paragraphs and notes about how he was wrong and that he was blind to see that he loved me the entire time.

And at first I did really like him, cause now he liked me too and we got really close and he eventually asked me to be his girlfriend. But then at that moment, I just felt that I couldn't be with a guy who hurt me in the past, so I rejected him saying I wanted to be friends. So during May my feelings for him slowly changed and I didn't like him anymore, but for him, his feelings towards me only grew.

He kept saying really corny stuff like "I love you more than anything in the world" and that he "couldn't imagine a life without me" and that he "wants to be with me and only me and in every universe he would pick me" and when I told him he needed to get over me he said that he "didn't want to" and "would wait for me no matter how long it takes"

But anyway it got to the point where I almost felt suffocated with his 'love' he would text me everyday and he would get really upset and afraid when I wouldn't talk to him cause I needed time to heal cause he was scared that I hated him. I really feel bad because I don't want to hurt him. But I just I can't entertain this with him. I've told him that I did like him but due to other factors like my parents, we have to be friends just so he doesn't get hurt, but the truth is just that I've lost feelings for him.

The worst part is that he spent £40 on a birthday present for me as a surprise (He's 16 so it's quite a lot of money to be spending on a person). So I feel really guilty and that now it's clear he geniunely loves me, and I think he's changed, but I just don't like him.

The main point is, I talked to a friend about it and her take is that he's love bombing me and it's infatuation. And that he's a player and he only likes me because the other two rejected him and I was just the remaining option, but now he's obsessed with me and trying to love bomb me and that I should just block him. But I just don't think a 16year old boy can be a love manipulator. And the messages and apologies he sent felt really heartfelt.

So what do you guys think? Do you agree? Any other advice/thoughts are welcome too

Summary: Guy who lead me on before, claims he's changed and now is in love with me what do I do and is this infatuation or does he genuienly like me?
