Bringing research triz to prague from U.S.

I’m a U.S. student who will be staying in Prague for several months for study abroad, and I’m trying to figure out the Czech rules before I travel.

I have a vial of tirzepatide purchased from a U.S. peptide supplier. It is labeled “research use only / not for human consumption” and is not pharmacy-dispensed Mounjaro. I would only have like two personal-use vial and would not be selling or distributing it.

I know pharmaceutical tirzepatide (Mounjaro) is legally available in Czechia by prescription, but I’m specifically wondering about research-grade tirzepatide.

Does anyone here know:

  • Is simply possessing a research-grade tirzepatide vial legal in Czechia?
  • Can I legally bring one vial with me through Prague Airport from the U.S.?
  • Has anyone actually traveled into Czechia with a research peptide?
  • Would Customs confiscate it, or could there be more serious consequences?
  • Is there a Czech authority (Customs/SÚKL) that I should contact for written confirmation?

I’m trying to make sure I’m following the rules before I travel rather than finding out at the airport.

Has anyone had a weird reaction to retatrutide that went away after the next injection?

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced something like this.

I was taking 0.5 mg of retatrutide once a week. My first two injections were completely fine basically no issues other than the expected appetite suppression.

After my third injection, though, my heart rate suddenly became much higher than normal for several days. My resting heart rate was staying in the 80s–120s (which is unusual for me since my normal resting is 50s-60s), and I could really feel my heart beating. As the week went on and the medication started wearing off, my heart rate gradually came back down.

I've been trying to figure out what happened. I originally wondered if I had reconstituted the vial incorrectly, but now I'm not sure.

I've also heard a few people mention that they had one random injection where they reacted badly, but then they took their next scheduled dose and everything was completely normal again.

Has anyone here experienced that? Like:

  • Fine on the first few injections
  • One injection caused a weird reaction (especially elevated heart rate)
  • Then the following injection was back to normal?

I'm not looking for medical advice just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or knows what might have caused it. I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences.

dosage help with triz

hello i’m trying triz soon and i was needing some help with dosages.

i’m getting a 10 mg bottle of triz and a 30 ml bottle of bac water. I’ve been seeing everywhere that the starting dosage of triz is 2.5 mg, but i want to start very low so is there any other lower dosage??

i started with 0.5 mg of reta while back so u was wondering is triz was the same.

also when reconstituting the 10 mg vial, how much bac water should i use for each desired dosage?

could not fully mixing my reta have caused my high hr

I wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.

I was using a retatrutide. The first two weekly injections (0.5 mg) went completely fine i was using one of my friends viles that she had already mixed and stuff. The third injection was different because it was a new vile straight out of the package.

I just realized that when I reconstituted the vial, I added the bacteriostatic water and drew up my dose almost immediately. I didn't wait for it to fully dissolve or gently mix first. (i know bad idea. but i completely missed this step) Looking back, I'm wondering if I accidentally injected a more concentrated dose because it wasn't evenly mixed.

A day or so later, my resting heart rate went way up. Normally my resting HR is much lower (50s), but it was sitting in the 80s and at times went over 100 (around 113 at rest). It stayed elevated for about 4 days. I also had:

  • Chest pounding
  • Mild chest discomfort

The symptoms gradually improved over the week, and my heart rate returned closer to my normal baseline as more time passed after the injection.

Do you think not fully mixing the vial could realistically cause a stronger-than-expected dose and those symptoms, or is it more likely that I just reacted differently to retatrutide that week?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's experienced something similar.

switch from reta to triz?? advice needed

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.

I’m a female, 5'5", currently around 124 lbs. I started taking retatrutide (research peptide) and did three weekly doses of 0.5 mg. My dosing schedule was:

  • June 25: 0.5 mg
  • July 2: 0.5 mg
  • July 11: 0.5 mg

A couple of days after my third dose (around July 13), my heart rate suddenly became much higher than normal. I was having episodes where my heart felt like it was pounding, my resting heart rate was elevated, and I was very aware of my heartbeat throughout the day. I also had some chest discomfort at times.

What confuses me is that I had taken the same dose before without any major issues. The symptoms didn't start immediately after the injection—they started about 2 days later. I was also eating less than usual while on retatrutide, and I'm wondering if under-eating, dehydration, anxiety, caffeine, or the medication itself could have contributed.

The good news is that over the past few days things seem to be improving. My heart no longer feels like it's pounding, the chest discomfort is mostly gone, and my heart rate seems much closer to normal.

Because of this experience, I'm now considering tirzepatide instead of retatrutide, but I'm nervous about having the same reaction. For those who have used both:

  1. Has anyone experienced a significant increase in heart rate on retatrutide?
  2. Did it happen after multiple doses rather than the first dose?
  3. If you switched from retatrutide to tirzepatide, did you tolerate tirzepatide better?
  4. Given my age, weight, and height (5'5", 124 lbs), do you think I may simply might not be a good candidate for these medications?

I know nobody here can give medical advice, but I'd really appreciate hearing about similar experiences or what you would do in my situation.

RETA QUESTION!

Looking for advice from anyone with experience using retatrutide.

I'm 18 years old, 5'5", 130 lbs but now 124lb with the help of reta (i take reta mostly for the help with food noise, rather than weight loss)

Week 1: 0.5 mg, no issues.

Week 2: 0.5 mg, felt fine, but the medication seemed stronger bc i had ZERO appetite.

Week 3: 0.5 mg, my resting heart rate increased significantly. Before starting retatrutide, my resting heart rate was usually in the 50–60 bpm range. After my third dose, I was seeing 100–113 bpm while sitting quietly. My blood pressure remained normal.

I'm now almost a week out from that injection, and my resting heart rate has come down into the 80s if I sit and relax for a while, but it's still higher than my normal baseline.

The strange part is that I didn't notice much additional appetite suppression during week 3, even though my heart rate was much higher.

Has anyone else experienced this after being fine for the first couple of weeks? Did it improve over time? Did you continue taking retatrutide or stop?

Also, based on your experience, does this sound like something I should see a doctor about, or does it sound like a side effect that typically resolves on its own?

Any input would be appreciated. (i made a post like this earlier this week but it didn’t get much feedback so i’m trying again)

Am i rare case?

I started reta in late june on 0.5 mg and felt amazing my first week, the second week i did 0.5 mg again and i felt like my appetite was more surpressed and lost more weight. however, going into my third week i took 0.5 mg again and it took two days until my heart rate started to elevate significantly. my normal resting if 40-50ish range (bc im very active) and it climbed to 70-90. i know reta increases your heart rate but i didn’t think it’d be this much. it got so bad that i had chest pain. i’ve skipped on taking my dose this week bc of my heart rate, but i wonder if id ever be able to get back on it since it helped so much with food noise.
