Starlink Mini in PNW

I work remotely and would love to spend more time exploring, but I have Teams video meetings throughout the day.

I’ve seen the requirement for a “full, unobstructed view of the sky” mentioned, and I’m wondering how realistic that is in the PNW, where finding a completely open patch of sky isn’t always easy.

Has anyone here actually used it for work in the PNW? How reliable has it been for video calls? Would I realistically be able to get through a normal workday of Teams meetings while camping?

Thanks!

Western WA surprise c

Wish I got a better pic but small Western Washington stream, mostly small trout, and then this guy came up out of the depths and absolutely crushed a hopper.

I watched the whole thing happen in what felt like slo mo. One of the coolest eats I’ve had all summer.

SRC Fishing South Sound

Bit of a long shot, but I’m looking for someone around South Puget Sound who’d be willing to show a newcomer the ropes for sea-run cutthroat.

I’ve been fly fishing rivers for years, but saltwater is completely new to me. I’m just looking to get into the fishery and would love to fish with someone who’s willing to share a little knowledge while we walk beaches and chase SRCs.

I’m not looking for anyone to give up secret spots or hard-earned information. I’d just enjoy having someone to fish with and learn from. I’m based in Olympia.

If you’re interested, send me a DM.

Small WA creek

Hiked into a creek I’ve been looking at on OnX for years. Did not disappoint!
