Bauer women's protective gear - initial review

I have been wearing Warrior Ritual 5x pro men's small for a chesty and some men's small warrior shorts (not sure which) for a few years. I bought the chesty after I broke my arm on a slapshot wearing a less beefy chest protector and honestly I've hated it the entire time. The arms have always felt a smidge too long but there wasn't a smaller size.

When I heard there was a women's specific bauer line coming out for goalies I was instantly interested. I wore it last night to my 3 on 3 game. 3 on 3 is on small ice and I've never seen anyone take a slap shot at 3 on 3 so I can't speak to how well it handles super hard shots yet but dang this thing really fits so well.

It's much smaller, which is great for packing my bag, but it's also not a gimmick that it was designed for women's bodies. At least mine, obviously there's a ton of variation. I'll say the only downsides are that with the shorts the leg holes are much smaller and it's a little annoying to get your skate through. For the arms they fit SO much better - I'm 5'5" and got a medium, buuuut the like cuff is kind of weird and feels like it traps heat into your gear.

Overall I'm a big fan after one skate. I'm more than happy to answer any questions.

Santa Barbara County on Instagram: "Want a wedding date you’ll never forget?⭐ 6.26.26 reads the same forward and backward — and it could be your big day! The Clerk Recorder’s Office is welcoming walk-in wedding ceremonies all day — no appointment needed!

I saw this and figured I'd share in case anybody really wants to get married tomorrow but didn't make plans to.

One more peak purple comparison. Chug cap dark purple versus plain black on commuter cap

I tried to get a picture in direct sunlight but it's definitely more obvious in person than in photos. It's almost an indigo.

Tar report for June 21

I took a walk from the Miramar to east beach during low tide. I've been kinda avoiding the beach since everyone was complaining about lots of tar recently, but today I'd say it was pretty minimal. A couple of small dots were on the bottom of my feet but we can all deal with that.

Pace purple comparison

Sorry that it's cloudy and the light isn't great in my house either. Picture one is 36 Oz peak purple next to the 16 oz travel pace purple. Outdoors in the clouds. The second photo is my entire purple collection (minus ultramarine that is buried in my camping gear ) which is mist, Cosmic lilac, pace purple, peak purple, nordic in the front and then moon dust.

I would say peak purple is a little darker and pace purple is a little bit lighter, but if you weren't looking very closely you might not notice they were different, especially if you have stickers on them.

Tested out the Signature Oval Bread Oven with some charcoal swirled sourdough this morning.

I do like it better than the signature bread loaf for this shape bread.
