I was looking at market place and saw an auction listing for a Buzz starting at $18,000 with only 18 hours left and off handed sent it to my dad. He then registered for the auction and sent in his license information.

It finally clicked that their buy now price of 24,000 was too good to be true. I put some customer testimonial listings through Synth ID and it flagged. Looking closer at the testimonial pictures some details like clothing patterns, car badge logos, shoe logos all seems melty and off.

Other various details didn’t add up (LA fancy tower with no Unit number, San Francisco area code, Eastern time zone operation hours.) Finally I realized, saw the listing photos previously and posted them here from the dealer months ago in chat with another potential buyer.

Don’t be like me. If it’s too good to be true, it likely is. I’m just glad we stopped the scam train before they sent in payment info.

With my kids not wanting to mow in summer, I put my i105 to work in the front yard and have been in love with the result. I was looking at Facebook Marketplace and found someone selling a h800 for $350!

Apparently he is a Gardner and got it as a gift from a client. He had no interest in it. I’m a little bummed I can’t just share maps and antennas to get it going faster. I also don’t like that I can’t set it to mow higher. Any tips coming from the I series? ?

I purchased a iMac 17" 1 GHz - M8935LL/A after loving the restoration project on my 15”.

Ultimately, I don’t want to go down the Juicycrumb route as the neck of the 17” needs to be replaced and I already stuck on the bezel with foam tape (that likely won’t come off easily.) I’m planning on wrapping up the internal DIMM replacement (1gig) , and SuperDrive repair as the parts are on order.

My question: Would it make any difference to finish the last two upgrades I planned (Bluetooth installation, and maxing out the ram to 2 gig) or would you see no Value as a buyer?
