What were your archaeology studies at college like?

Hi! I'm planning to write a book that would feature an archaeology student, and while the studies won't be the main focus of the book, I would still like to know more about this aspect specifically. Don't worry, I am perfectly able to check programme descriptions and curricula, I just wanted to learn about it from a more personal perspective!

Could you please share what you liked/disliked in your studies - what you were looking forward to in classes and what you dreaded? Maybe something surprising that you learned, something exciting, something that stood out in the educational process?

Any recollections would be highly appreciated, thanks!

Jewelry making is my new favorite hobby!

Hi everyone! I recently tried making jewelry, and I just fell in love with it! It's quite intricate and challenging (at least for me as a beginner), but really relaxing and rewarding, too. I found so many cool designs and now I can't wait to bring them to life. I'm also obsessed with buying new beads and supplies for necklaces, I don't even have enough time to use them all yet lol

For me, it all started with this guide from Peaktakes, just helped me organize what tools I needed and how to use them correctly, but then I just checked designs and tutorials on Pinterest, and it all was quite easy. The only downside is that my fingers hurt from making loops out of metal haha

If you're also into jewlery making, show me your creations and tell me how long you've been doing it!

Are brandless drones suitable for casual use?

Hi! I'm really interested in drone photography/videography, and I'd like to try it for myself. I don't have a lot of money, so I can't really afford famous brands, especially considering I might not be good at it.

So my question is, how important is it to get a professional drone from a big brand if you're just starting out? Should I then wait and save up or try something cheaper?

I've checked a couple of options and there are some budget drones that look quite good. For example, this drone from Imperatia has 8K camera, long flight time and is under $200. Should I go for it even though it's brandless?

Has anyone tried a heated eyelash curler?

Hi! I have rather straight eyelashes, and it makes applying mascara a pain. I've been using regular eyelash curlers ever since I started doing my makeup, but it is honestly my least favorite part of doing makeup. I just hate the fact that I'm pinching my eyelashes, it gives me some weird sensory reaction. Plus, the curl doesn't hold for that long.

I've been looking for some alternatives and came across heated curlers. Most of them function the same way as regular curlers, so I don't want to try that. But this one from Perfere doesn't require pinching, and it looks way more convenient to use.

The only thing I'm not certain so far is how effective it can be. Since there is no pinching/pressure involved, will a curl even be noticeable? And just in general, do curls made with heated curlers stay longer than regular? If you've used this type of curlers, or just any heated curler, please share your experience.

Has anybody tried a chair like this?

Hi! I spend a lot of time at the desk and I'm never comfortable sitting. I've tried different kids of chairs, but I still can't sit in them for long. I always bring one or even both of my knees up, I tuck them under, sit in all kinds of poses, but can't get comfortable for long.

I've spotted this chair on vesperes.com - it's said it's an orthopedic stool for spinal health, and I'm thinking of trying it. It looks like it will make it impossible for me to sit improperly, but I'm not sure it will be comfortable on the long run. I don't usually rest my back while at the desk and I tend to lean forward, so those knee support cushions will definitely be useful, but then again - it is possible to sit in this position for long? Can it really improve spinal health? Because to be honest, my back is killing me at the end of the day.

If you have any other seating suggestions, please share, I don't know how else to work like this. I tried working standing, but that's even more inconvenient, so please don't suggest standing desks.

Your favorite resources to learn

Hi guys! What are your favorite resources to learn how to monetize AI? I've browsed a lot of blogs and online resources, but can't find something with clearly outlined strategies.

I did find lots of guides on AI Writing at futuretechie.shop, I think I'll try to get into publishing with it, but I'd still like to know what other options I can explore. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I recently got a splash guard for my sink and I love it so much! For some reason I didn't even know they existed until like 2 weeks ago, but it's an absolute game-changer. I don't have a dishwasher, so I have to do the dishes manually, and I was so tired of the constant puddles around the sink and wet t-shirts. So I would definitely recommend getting some for your sinks as well!

If anyone's curious, here's the link to where I got mine from, it's quite cheap but sturdy!

Opinion on faucets with retractable hoses (like in the pic)?

Hi! I need to get a new faucet for my kitchen and was thinking about trying one with a retractable hose. It looks very convenient, especially since I don't have a dishwasher and doing the dishes is a pain. What I'm worried about is whether this mechanism deteriorates with time? Does the hose get loose and start detaching with time or I shouldn't expect such issue?

In the description of this faucet they mention magnetic suction design, so I imagine it shouldn't lose its retractable qualities with time, right?

If you have a faucet like this, please share your experience with it overtime and tell me if it's worth the investment!

Hi! I own a Nintendo Switch and a gaming laptop and I'm thinking about getting a controller that can be used on both. I used to get by with joy-cons and regular keyboard+mouse combo, but I tried a PS controller at my friend's and it was way more convenient. I am now thinking of killing two birds with one stone and getting a normal controller that could work on everything (I found a couple of good options, like this one on Esperanze that works on Switch, PC and mobile). However, I'm worried that it might not perform as well as Nintendo's own controller would, for example. But at the same time, I've heard that Switch controllers don't work well on PC, so I don't even know which option would be better.

If you use an off-brand controller (especially for Switch), please share your experience. Does it lag, does it connect easily, do you use it with other devices?

Hi! As not a medical worker and not an American, I was wondering if the show's addressing the characters by their last names is a normal thing for their environment or something more fictional. To me, it feels slightly weird that coworkers who know each other for a long time don't refer to each other by their first names. I understand that they're doctors and that's how it works with their patients, but that's a little weird for their personal relationships.

Also, nurses are addressed by their first names exclusively -- by their patients and colleagues -- why doesn't it work with doctors? Can you please explain how it works in this sort of professional environment? Is it the same in other fields?

Hi! I've noticed that a lot of people are buying projectors, and it looks very convenient - to be able to watch a film in any room basically. I'm also considering buying one, maybe even replacing a TV.

But what I'm worried about is the color/brightness. I found a really cool projector on Top Shelf Buys; it promises 4K, vivid colors, and all those perks, but how feasible is it to have a clear, vibrant picture with a projector? Do they work alright in daylight or is it for night time only? Do I need to have blackout curtains for it to work? Please share your experience and also what price range to expect!

Hi! I really need some extra cash, and I can't really come up with anything other than starting to sell things online. I'm considering Amazon, but I've heard that it's quite difficult to manage. I've checked a couple of "Amazon for beginners" guides from Envictara, but I still don't get an idea on how profitable it is, how much I will have to invest and how soon I will see the results.

If anybody tried Amazon, please share your experience.
