Q: New to MyWhoosh and smart bikes, using a Wahoo KICKR Bike Shift.
• In ERG mode: can I increase overall workout intensity (e.g. intensity/percentage) to make a session harder, or should effort be controlled only with cadence?
• In ERG OFF / LEVEL mode: how is resistance handled — do I control load mainly through gearing, cadence, or the level setting in MyWhoosh?

I’m new here and recently picked up a Wahoo KICKR Bike Shift. This is my first smart bike, so I’m still learning how everything works.
Quick question about training apps (Wahoo SYSTM, Zwift, TrainerRoad, etc.) and ERG mode. As far as I understand, the app controls resistance, while shifting on the bars is mostly for comfort.
👉 Can you increase the overall workout intensity during a session (e.g. intensity/percentage slider) to raise resistance, instead of just changing cadence?
And is this generally recommended, or does it mess with ERG behavior?
Probably a basic question, but I’m new to smart bikes and want to understand the logic behind resistance and gearing.
