Barking Dog / House of Horrors (Chapel End)

We have spent the last 6 months since moving here trying to find the source of constant barking from an aggressive dog in Chapel End (barking 9pm-sunrise, almost daily).

Summer (windows open) has been impossible and we're averaging 2-3hrs sleep per night. napping is now a full-time hobby.

A property on our street matches the general direction of the barking, and the house looks like a nightmare scene...

Newspaper in windows, boarded door panels, roller shutter and iron gate over front door.

I left a note which stuck out of the letterbox untouched, yet a dim light is always on in the upstairs window.

Ringing the bell summons a large terrifying creature that doesn't bark, but shrieks like a velociraptor, smashing into the door with it's full body weight. Not the dog we hear at night, who is always out back making noise.

Anyone with an E174L_ postcode who may know the source of the barking, assistance in locating/contacting the owner would be greatly appreciated.

P.S Council & police dragging their feet re: noise complaints/animal welfare checks on this.

Ghosted by landscaping company after completing work - England

Hello,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I recently applied for a landscaping job and after a quick in-person interview started working as a gardener the next day, using their company van and tools.

A few hours into day 1 I realised that the company owner was a bit unprofessional and generally unpleasant, but completed the day professionally, later that evening informing him that I would be seeking work elsewhere, and he's been ghosting me ever since. Invoice was sent at end of month as requested.

Any chance of getting my 1x day pay from this guy?

No agreement was signed, and he's deleted the whatsapps discussing agreed day rate. All I have are photos of the work completed (before/after).

Just wonder if anyone else faced a similar scenario and was successful in getting their money.

Thanks and have a great weekend all x

Clothes Horse Hydro Tower

Just wanted to share this build for anyone stuck for inspiration (or space) as it's working quite nicely (finally)

Tower

1x clothes rack (found in skip)

4x wooden troughs - recycled pallets with 3-layered bin liners (glued and hairdryed)

Old plastic tap connectors (spray painted with leftover rose gold paint)

Reservoir (below)

1x 70L plastic crate (from work warehouse clearout)

1x £15 Amazon solar powered water pump from a previous build.

Reservoir covered with pallet wood to support the horse in place as in time it will likely weather & buckle, but this Leaves space for pots to drink from the reservoir too.

plants are held with a combination of old mini net baskets, yogurt pots & plastic fruit & veg trays with drilled holes & Some pallet wood cut with a hole saw.

Still work in progress, just waiting for more yogurts & fruit to be eaten 😁

Happy building folks

Blessed be the lord for flytipping this sweet table. I now have an XL prayer deckchair

First time in my life I've ever seen a church just throw stuff to the kerb. I made use of the wood and an old cotton throw from the loft, £8 for nuts & bolts and a bit of walnut wood stain.
