Clumps Sticking to Side / Anxious Cat Wont Use Yet

Just moved with my hubby and two adult cats to a new apartment and we decided to invest in the litter robot 4.

Few things I would love advice on!

  1. My younger adult cat has severe anxiety and is on a low dose med to try and help otherwise she pees on everything. We have been in the new apartment for a week and she will not use the litter robot… any suggestions on how to fix this? We have a temp litter box set up for now but do not want this to last.

  2. My eldest cat uses the litter robot (which we manually cycle or it freaks out my anxious cat). We usually wait 1 hour after she goes to cycle it but its always stuck to the inside, any tips on how to fix this?

Ottawa Wedding Photographer - Now Booking Remaining 2026 Dates Into 2027

Your wedding day isn’t about perfect poses, it’s about how things felt. The calm before you walk down the aisle, the tears from your mom as you and your dad have a dance, the laughs you didn’t expect during the speeches… those are the moments you’ll hold onto.

When you’re choosing a photographer, you’re not just booking someone to take photos, you’re choosing someone who’s there with you all day.... Someone who keeps things calm and lets you stay fully present without overthinking every moment.

That’s the experience you can expect with me. Clear, easy communication, gentle guidance when needed and space for everything to unfold naturally, so nothing ever feels forced or stressful. Whether you’re planning something local or somewhere far away, your photos will reflect your day as it really was: emotional, effortless and completely you.

Advice on Pricing and Packages

My current packages for weddings are as followed:

Hourly (under 5 hours coverage) $800 per hour plus tax
6 hours - $3,800 plus tax
8 hours and engagement session - $5,300 plus tax
10 hours, engagement session, photo album and second photo - $6,800 plus tax

Would you suggest changes these at all based on what couples are looking for? Does my work match this pricing? Is my experience and knowledge coming off when you read through it? I have been trying to figure out what is not selling people when they are reaching out, and put it towards my new website i am planning on releasing soon!

Slowest Booking Season By Far - Advice Needed

Last year (Jan. 2025) I significantly raised my pricing to reflect my 15 years of experience, as I am looking to take on less weddings and not cut my pay cheque due to health issues, and still wanting to remain in the industry.

My highest package (10 hrs, 2 photog's, eng sesh and album) was raised to $6,800 plus tax, as I am not always a fan of a 10 hr. day unless its worth it. Last year I sold 3 of these packages, and several of my 6, 8 and hourly packages. 2025 I had photographed 25 weddings, and this year I booked a total of 17 (many are 6 or less hours coverage).

I currently only have 2 booked for 2027, when I normally would have more secured. I had a great consult last week, only for them to go in another direction, and its seriously been crickets in my inbox.

I am just about ready to launch my new website, as I am worried my current one does not reflect my brand, so I have been waiting to do any marketing till then.

Anyone else going thru this massive drought of bookings or lack of bookings for 2027? I am worried I wont be able to support myself, and lowering my pricing is not an option... (I know I can book people at my rates)

What is everyone doing to bring in leads and book people!

Hii everyone. I am a wedding photographer and have been full time almost 15 years. I am in my older 30's and starting to think of the "whats next" for my business and my career. Besides the way the economy is and how people are expecting so much for the bare minimum investment, my body is getting tired, and my health is not the best and I just do not want to burn myself out.

What is everyones plans once they put down the camera, or next moves? I really want to remain my own boss or work from home with my health and all, but need some inspiration!

Thanks!!
