How does the unethical practices of other food sources sit?

I’m curious how vegans feel about the sourcing of non animal products such as coffee, chocolate, sugar, etc. Food sourcing using practices including child labor and exploitation of farmers and land. Even the wheat industry has a dark side. How is the morality ranked and why?

Roads

Can someone explain to me what is going on with the roads in midtown from a management/planning prospective? Road construction has always been a topic for jokes but it seems like every other road is under construction now. What happened??

Relapse

After 5 months of no smoking, I caved. Now I’m on week one of being back. I’m so disappointed. I’m scared of starting withdrawal all over again. Man… all my motivation is gone and I don’t know how to feel.

Oxley Nature trails

Does anyone know if they close the gates for the Oxley Nature trails? I know the center has its times posted online, but I’m curious if that applies to the whole area/gates. I was thinking of doing an evening walk tonight. Thanks!

Best car

If you could choose a car for living which would it be? Taking into account two people, gas mileage, off road capabilities, etc. Planning a months long road trip with my partner and thinking of trading in my car for something else (jeep renegade). *No RVs please

Partnership?

Hello! I’m currently on a cruise on Alaska and I think I’ve finally found what I want to do for the next chapter of my life. I’m a 32F that’s never left home, working a high paying office type job, and I’ve been suffering. I’ve been waiting for a beacon to show me what to leave my known life for.

Anyways… the problem is I do have a love. He would be willing and thrilled to jump into this too. I have no children and don’t plan on having. My question is- how easy is it to get seasonal jobs as partners, or at least in the same city? Any experience here?

My partner found this letter in a bush around cherry street. It’s really sweet- if you have a kid with this name, who plays some sort of sport with a girl named Evelyn, we have her cute letter.

How are yall feeling about “poser country”? I’m talking artists who wear the hat and boots, sing the songs about beer and land, but come from the suburbs and cities. I just realized that someone from my high school is now a decently popular country artists and… let’s just say she’s not from the sticks. In fact, she’s from the riches suburbs in town. I don’t keep up with country music too much. I’m curious what the average take is on this.

It’s common knowledge that European settlers brought disease that the Natives died from, but I’ve never heard of settlers dying from diseases give to them from Natives? Did they and I just haven’t heard of that?
