First excision surgery done.

Hi everyone I've just had my first excision of stage 4, I ended up also having to have a bowel resection because they had to cut some out of my bowel.

The photo shows the endometriosis the blue bits on the last two photos. Was wondering if anyone had any questions as I would like to help anyone else with these evil disease to not be scared if you haven't had surgery yet. I was terrified but it ended up being ok, the worst bit was the enema I had to do before.

Surgery tomorrow - scared terrified.

Hello can anyone please help me with advice or comforting words.

I have never had surgery before and I am due to be having excision tomorrow, I am terrified I keep crying and having panic attacks, I'm scared I won't wake up, I'm scared about the pain. The hospital have sent me a document on what they are going to do and might do.. it says tube removal if needed but I want kids so don't want them to do that which they know I do so don't know why they are suggesting it.

I think my bowel is attached to my uterus and they want to do something to my bowel which means bowel prep and I don't really want them to touch this as I have no bowel symptoms. Before I sign anything can I tell them to leave my bowel alone and even if the tubes are damaged not to remove them ? I had a tube check before to see if they were open and was told they are fine so I don't understand why it's being suggested to remove them. I am so scared about dying or being in loads of pain after. I have stage 4 but no endometrioma.

Drs trying to put me off incision surgery...

So I have been trying to conceive for 3yrs I have had a couple of mri's and basically it looks like an endometriosis bomb has gone off in there. On the report it says severe fibrotic endometriosis.

Ovaries are stuck to uterus, there's bladder and bowel involvement. I am under a nhs specialist endometriosis team and they keep trying to tell me as my goal is fertility to do IVF and not the surgery. I have a good AMH for my age, I'm nearly 33.

I just don't see how they can tell me to do IVF when I have deep endometriosis and all this stuff going on, surely just doing IVF first is setting me up to fail 😭. Has anyone else been in a similar situation ? It's shocking I'm with a specialist team and they have said that doing surgery would make no difference to the IVF outcome. I'm no expert but I don't see how trying to do IVF is going to help, it's just gonna make the inflammation worse in my opinion and as my ovaries are stuck together how would they even retrieve the eggs ?!.
