How are people liking 4.6 vs Sol? Looking at Plus plan

I have been a heavy user of ChatGPT Pro 5x. I max out a few days before my reset and I use Sol on very high for several hours per day daily.

I am debating trying out Grok Build for a month with the 4.6 release happening.

How do they compare in real world use? How are the limits?

Sport bike guy thinking of a Harley

I am in my 30s and started riding a few years ago. I ride a Yamaha R6. It's fine for my work commute but absolutely kills for long rides. Back, knees, wrists, ankles.. Now I kept window shopping a naked or adventure but then I had a crazy thought.. I never saw the appeal of Harleys at all but wanted to see them in person at least once to see what they are all about, as we have so many of them riding around locally. Walked into a dealership and looked around. The quality paint, the metal, the chrome fins on the massive engine. I sat on a new Heritage and it felt great. The people at the dealership were super cool and it was a great experience, when all I have read online was saying how horrible the dealers are. I can't seem to shake the thought.

I mostly see older guys on them. Are there many people here in their 30s?

Has anyone here gone from sport or naked bikes to a Harley? How was it? The logical side of me says inefficient engine, heavy, expensive but for some reason I am thinking of it.

Realistically I would probably be getting something around the 12k CAD price range used if I went down this route.

Victoria / CRD Transportation Survey (Victoria BC / CRD Residents only)

Not sure if this is appropriate to post for a city since this is a BC sub, but I figured anyone living in the Victoria/CRD area would be the right sort of people to fill this out.

The local municipalities have damaged the roads so badly: removing lanes, low speed limits, bike lanes and speed bumps everywhere. I'm sure it's getting like that everywhere, but Victoria/Saanich is a special kind of special.

CRD wants to know how you get around. 15-minute survey open now : r/VictoriaBC

RevIt Ignition 4 H2O vs Klim Induction Pants

Looking at getting a cooler pair of pants for the summer.

MotoCap rates RevIt Ignition 4 H2O pants high - 4/5 safety and 5/5 breathability.

They rate Induction Pro (jacket) LOWER breathability and safety. I know it's jacket vs pants..

What is everyone's thoughts between Induction and Ignition 4 pants for the summer? I currently have a pair of Klim Marrakesh pants and they are not nearly good enough when standing still.

Pandomoto / "base layer" trend - skeptic

I've noticed the base layer trend has been exploding. Everyone is saying we have been doing it wrong all these years and this is the way.

I don't understand the point.

- There is plenty of gear for out in public that looks like regular clothes.

- For heat, wouldn't wearing a base layer plus regular clothes be more uncomfortable and hot than wearing high ventilation riding pants and jacket? You are adding an entire second layer.

- I can't imagine going to work wearing a protective full body suite under my comfortable work cloth I would rather just get changed. And if I didn't have a way to get changed at work, I would probably purchase some Klim Chinos with ghost armor or something.

Maybe for a cold winter ride? But it still seems like more work and more or a trend than anything.

I wonder if people are raving these to justify the money they spent, or if they are genuinely awesome.

Seat vibrates like crazy - 2022 Rebel 500

My girlfriend bought a used Rebel 500 with 12k km on it. Since she got it, the seat vibrates like mad when you rev it up past a certain point. I'm not sure what that point is since there is no tac, but it feels extremely short. maybe 4000rpm or something. I understand that these engines are designed for low end, but it's so short that when she needs to accelerate, she is always in that 'seat vibration zone'. It happens at every speed and is very difficult to avoid. Chain slack was just checked and it's all good.

We put aluminum handlebar bushings on it and even then, the handlebars have very little vibration. But the seat is enough to make your butt sore.

I have had a Yamaha R3 and R6 and neither of these bikes even have a slight vibration to the seat even at redline. Meanwhile that rebel will vibrate your butt to the point of no sensation the moment you start accelerating.

The seat is an aftermarket Mustang seat. we have the original and haven't tried it but I can't see that making it better.

Does anyone with a Rebel 500 have this problem? Does anyone have ideas on how to make it better?

I have searched the internet for this in the past and couldn't find any similar complaint.
