CRF300L - Ashby Animals Wapack Turkey Run - NETRA - Vlog 9

5 hours to do 40 miles of single track on the crf! This course slowly beat me down until I had nothing left in the tank.

Digital Gauge Cluster

Has anyone ordered a replacement digital gauge cluster and where did you get it from. Mine got in a tussle with a tree and lost at an event this weekend. There seems to be a bunch of options online ranging from $80-$450 and they all look identical to the oem cluster.

YSS Fulls Suspension Ride & Review

Here is my first ride review of the YSS full suspension. There will be an install video at some point (it’s not going to be great). There will be more reviews of the suspension as I ride and make videos. If you have questions about the kit beyond what I can answer, I would recommend reaching out to EPM Performance as they were quick to respond to all of my questions before buying the kit. Enjoy the video

I bolted on the full YSS suspension—MG456 rear shock, open fork cartridge kit—the mechanical equivalent of swapping your hippy boomer mom’s herbal remedy for some of gram grams prescription grade relief chews. And just like that, the bike stopped pretending.

Out on the trail, it’s a different animal. Roots, rocks, ruts—the usual collection of bad decisions—don’t rattle your bones anymore. The bike floats, glides, almost laughs at the terrain. Tight single track? The front end finally stays where you point it instead of washing out like a drunk trying to dance on a wet bar floor. And the rear shock? It actually does its job now. No more soggy, marshmallow nonsense soaking up your power. Twist the throttle and the front end gets light—just enough to remind you that you’re in charge, at least for a moment.

This is what it should’ve been from the factory: less “polite dual-sport compromise,” more “let’s go make questionable decisions in the woods.”

I’ll put together a proper… “proper” install video and a ride review soon, but here’s the short version—if you’re on the fence, stop thinking. Do it. If your bike is still stock and you’re chasing that one upgrade that actually matters, this is the one. I’ve thrown just about every trick in the book at this machine, and this is the mod that finally tips the scales. It stops being a commuter with dirt fantasies and becomes, unapologetically, a dirt bike.

As for the install? No instructions. Of course not. Just you, a pile of parts, and the creeping suspicion that you’re about to ruin something expensive. I’d never rebuilt forks before, and yeah, there’s that moment where your brain starts running disaster scenarios—stripped threads, leaking seals, starting over from scratch. But it turns out it’s not rocket science. Take your time, don’t panic, and it comes together.

Now that I’ve been through it once, I could tear it all down and rebuild it again without breaking a sweat—or at least without needing a stiff drink first.
