RBE-Free Projector

I am looking for a 4k projector that has minimal to no RBE.

The projector will be ceiling mounted about 12-13ft from a 110” screen.

Any Epson higher than the 3800 seems rather bulky and would look bad mounted on a ceiling in a living room

Valerions look sleek and are compact but apparently still have some RBE even with the Anti RBE setting. Also, their projectors don’t seem to have a long enough throw for my set up.

Is my research correct? It seems I’m stuck choosing the old Epson 3800. Any alternatives I haven’t considered?

Script to Open all MSFS related apps

Has anyone written a "start flight sim" script that opens MSFS as well as any additional programs you like to run at the same time such as:

BeyondATC

TouchdownFX

SimHaptic

Simbrief

AutoFPS

It'd be really cool to just press one icon to start all these apps at once

Cause of Straight Line Clouds above Oregone

What is causing these straight clouds in Oregon and Northern California currently? Does it have to do with the incoming cold front and associated winds?

*ignore the e in the title haha

World Update 22: United State National Parks is Live

Looks like the new update is live!

Side note: why do we have to keep adding these in the store? Why don't they just automatically stream world updates?

What is killing leaves?

I’m not sure what kind of tree this is. The leaves all over the tree look like they are dying.

This is a little concerning as it is a massive tree. It’s technically my neighbors tree but it could take my house out if it fell so I want to make sure it’s still safe.

Gap between ICF foam and foundation

What would be the best way to repair this ICF gap? I can’t easily push it back in place. I definitely want to do something so that water can’t just sit in there and freeze/thaw constantly.

Cut it off and leave it?

Try and clear out debris and glue somehow?

Fill with foam?

Thanks!

Arc Ultra + Sub 4 Bass Levels Music VS Movies

Does anyone else wish we could set different sub levels for music vs movies? Sub + 2 gives a ton of bass in movies, almost too much in some movies.

But in music I’ve noticed it is very weak. The bass level is not really any different than if the sub was off. +10 sub sounds great for music.

Any ideas? Is this normal?

I recently moved into a house from the 90s. I live in a northern cold/dry climate.

The crawl space is currently vented. It was built with insulated concrete forms so there is insulation on the foundation walls. There is no insulation below the floor, no insulation on the pipes or ducting. There is a vapor barrier on the floor of the crawl space. This current configuration sounds wrong or is at least inefficient right?

Currently there is an old 80% gas furnace in there that I am getting replaced. I am getting a new 80% furnace as well as AC installed.

The HVAC tech recommended adding a register into the crawl space to condition it. This also sounds wrong because then there would be negative pressure inside the house.

I’m just curious what the best plan is for this crawlspace. It sounds like we can’t fully encapsulate it unless we got a HE furnace since the 80% would still the venting to the outside for combustion. Keeping it vented to the outside I’d think would mean adding insulation between the floor joists as well as pipes and ducting.

What is the best plan here?

We are getting a new roof, gutter and siding. The lot has lots of trees, big lilacs, an irrigation ditch and then a bike trail right next to it. It has a very “park like” quality. So we’ve been leaning towards the LP sage color. But the grey would be safe and still look good.

The white background pics are the actual designs we like. The other ones are just LPs AI tool trying to show what a color would look like from an uploaded photo.

I’d love your thoughts!
