Its been 20 years shipping these 2 and til the end of my timeline. Never flacked MY ship!

I've always been incredibly comfortable about my love for Zuko, Katara and Zutara. I fully believe not being canon was a blessing. Never doubted. And thought back then it PISSED me off they were not endgame, I'm glad they didn't. Because the TRIGGER reaction and what came of NOT being canon was MASSIVE. Alone on my own, even if barely anyone shipped these two, I'd still be paddling my canoe.

Tips and tricks. First ever piercing.

First things first:

I've sensory issues and contamination OCD.

Never been pierced and this is what I want to achieve eventually.

I'm getting this at a tattoo place. The piercings earring I chose are tiny. No hoops.

Now:

Any tips as a virginal non pierced?

Cleaning?

Healing?

Pain?

Which ones first?

Moderate pain tolerance. About how long this could take?

How many realistic I can get done in one go?

Anything else you'd like to mention that could help is welcomed.

Thank you.

The Erasure of Zuko's Redemption arc: hang it UP!

Hola! This is my very first post here and what a sad thing it's a rant. Or semi rant? Or almost rant? Take a sit please and let's clear some shit.

[I'm NOT a native English speakers so apologies for the mess].

Mind you, I've been into Zutara since the show aired back in 4,000 bC. And I really wish some people would understand that there are some of us that will always ship these 2 regardless. As someone who has just joined Fandom spaces while sterring clear of the land of the Twitter; and at my ripe age of 32, I had NO idea there was such an intense amount of people online who give moral identity 2026, "U cAn'T liKe tHiS cHarAcTeR bEcAuSe theYrE a ReD fLaG". (Yes. Typing like this gives me a headache too.)

I was also unaware of the entitlement some people on the internet have, about getting their questions and demands answered. As in, why do I need to justify liking Zutara to you anymore than me needing you to justify why you like your ship? I don't. Never have and to be honest, never cared about people liking "problematic" fictional characters. Like please find worthy hills and causes in real life. Thank you.

Now, the matter at hand: why is there a group out there that essentially erases this man redemption arc?

The story is the following: I found myself on enemy territory and I noticed quite a few things and I need to sit down and ask the haters, why it's giving Standarized Why I Hate Zutara Response? It gives "I struggle to come up with valid points that DON'T ERASE Zuko's redemption arc".

Maybe they changed the show and apparently he didn't change because why are we saying that he'd have fucked up Katara. Are we aware Zutara didn't happen? It's NOT Canon and some of these are typed as objective and absolute. You know what was canon? What happened in LoK with Aang. That was canon. Zuko's non linear redemption was canon.

*You know what was NOT canon? Zuko becoming a terrible husband or a terrible dad.*

Honestly, if a non canon FICTIONAL ship gets some people this pressed, i think it deserves doing some introspection: "Why some random person in Wyoming liking Zuko/ Zutara bothers me this much?" Either be because it's esthetically pleasing, Zuko is hot, he's a prince, tortured male boy, yadda yadda yadda, why do we care?

Is not a "we shouldn't care about shit". Is why are so emotionally invested in this? "He's a colonizer. He's a POS. They killed her mum. He'd have been a terrible husband. You only like them because he's hot. You're a self insert". Standarized I Hate Zutara Response, by the way.

HANG IT UP, FLAT screen.

AT LAST, NO it doesn't affect me (never has) not being canon and what actually canonically happened. Can it annoy me? Of course. But it doesn't justify the behavior or/ and moral judgements I've seen directed at us for liking Zutara. Which, are people OK? I didn't knew me liking this pair apparently signaled I am a Type POS of a person who endorsed some type of people/ behavior?

Also, why are other characters allowed to grow and change some of what they need to outgrow?

"He's was kid. He changed the way he treated her. Well aCtUaLLy". So only YOUR favorite character's context matters? OK got it.

This post is about calling out inconsistency in the Zutara hate rooted in rewritting or NOT acknowledging what actually happened. Hate Zutara by ALL means but please be so fucking serious when 99% of that hate comes from removing Zuko's entire character evolution. Also let us like our fictional of a fictional in peace. I've been on this canoe for 2 decades. I haven't stopped paddling. And no mater if I was the ONLY person shipping these mfs, I'd and will still be here boo!
