Blind, Mutation, or something else?

Caught this 2lber on a Cl8 Mighty Mouse and realized it had blue eyes. Both were like this. Is it blind/diseased, or is this a genetic mutation? TIA

Your favorite techniques for hot days?

Title, I'm sitting here on night shift looking forward to going fishing tomorrow. It's supposed to be 98°F. Im probably going to go out in the evening but it'll probably still be hot until late.

What are your favorite lures and techniques that you use during the dog days? Looking to try something new. FWIW my lakes pretty shallow, about 4-5' on average.

Just came in today, took it out for a bit. Excellent reel - extremely smooth and refined feeling. Feels a smidge "tighter" than my 24 Metanium DC. Feels good to be back to centrifugal brakes after using DCs for years. Shoutout Japan Lure Shop for getting it here so quickly and including a Vision 110+ as a gift!

The Chats

I don't see enough people talking about the chats. What a great show, unfortunately we had to cut it short at Smoko because we wanted to get a bit closer for blues traveler, but I saw my favorite songs from them and it was a great time in the mud. I handed out camel crushes at the price of smokes maybe someone in here was a recipient lol
