Any former European car owners?

I had a civic in my younger years, car I learned to wrench on and had a lot of fun with recently I’ve been eyeing up the CTR.

I currently have a 2019 Mercedes E450 currently at 65,000 miles. Great car comfortable plenty of performance. Pricey upkeep and maintenance especially at higher mileages.

Though about the Acura ITS but much prefer the looks of the CTR. I’m conflicted because it would obviously be a step in the other direction from comfort and driving experience not better or worse just different. I can keep the Benz and add the CTR but idk how much sense that would really make.

My question is any of you guys former Audi/VW, BMW or MB owners and do you feel like you’re miss anything about owning those?

Plz TALK ME OUT OF IT! 😂 MB>ITS?

My wife recently got a MDX Type S and I’m in impressed. She had a GLS 550 that got totaled. The GLS was great up to about 95,000 miles and I’ve replaced a turbo, rear air bags countless coolant and oil leaks in the past 50,000 miles Reliability nightmare. I’m done with the German Tax. I have a E 450 V6 3.0TT 370hp/370tq 60K miles now the M276 is considered to be MB more reliable engine but there was a Integra Type S at the dealership and I’m strongly considering the switch. Kind of apples to oranges comparison but the reliability and cost of ownership and 80% of the performance for 50% of the cost has really peaked my interest. Help! lol

M276 3.0 TT Reliability/ High miles?

Thinking about letting my E450 go. Great car, fun car, comfortable and plenty fast. I’ve got 60K on mine it’s been truly trouble free but it’s getting to the mileage where it’s time to start worrying I know these are considered to be the more reliable Mercedes engines but can’t help but wonder. Had a GLS 4.7V8 biturbo up to 155k and it’s been great issue after issue since 100K replaced the rear air bags myself but that was still a few hundred, turbo replacement $10,000 countless coolant and and oil leaks. Really put me off from the MB ownership.

As a current E-class owner I hate the direction MB is going. Think there’s enough silver stars logos on the back? Or might someone still mistake it for a different brand?
