As I've read the books already it surprised me. Was there a reason I've missed it didn't happen?
Purchased a dealer demo last month.
How does one call up the charge details without a lot of rigmarole and digging into settings? In Hyundai's Kona 2019 I would just plug the chargerin & turn the power on. If there was a schedule set, inside those hours it would still start.
Not so much for Toyota. When we have plugged in the BZ4X if we have a schedule set the vehicle sits not charging. We have a schedule to start charging at 5am, then about 7:30 my wife takes it to work where she "charges" on the panels at work.
I visited today and the 10A charger was 0.0 kW after 4 hours. To get it started I had to:
\- turn on the vehicle, reenable 'charge now'.
\- Wait for the system to load, back out of the charge-port open notification.
\- Hop out of the vehicle, turn off the power and unplug the vehicle.
\- Plug the vehicle back in and turn the power back on.
\- Hop into drivers seat, reenable 'charge now' on the driver's dashboard.
If I don't have a schedule set, there seems to be complications too. Should we have the temerity unlock the vehicle put stuff into the vehicle and lock it again the charging pauses. Why?! Why not restart when the car locks again? Will probably do this on a schedule charge, I haven't tried it.
If the vehicle is not displaying the charging meter on the drivers dashboard, I cannot see how to bring it up and see how the charging is progressing. To get it displayed I have to stop charging, unlock the vehicle to release the plug. Close port, open port, plug the charger in. Open the door and sometimes the meter is displayed. (On a schedule charge it might show an option to charge now.)
I took it back to to the dealer to find out what I was "doing" wrong & it worked exactly as I expected. Plug in & it started charging. Meter displayed on the dashboard. I don't think we tested locking unlocking then re-locking.
Is it correct that if you have a simple start at \[x\] time set it won't start charging past that time? Will setting a stop charging time fix this? How would you do an unscheduled charge without deleting all the scheduled charging?
Why is these options not one of the easy access menu items on the drivers dashboard when you unlock the vehicle? What is the point of the start time only option if you have to set both the start & stop times to make charging use able? (Speculation, I don't know if setting a stop time fixes this.). Does toyota have any user interface designers?

I live in a rural region and not many places have been purchased around me. Actually it’s none. Yet occasionally a cottage within my irl land appears.
Walking to it doesn’t seem to be possible and I didn’t know there were buildings in A:E.
Some visual artefact or is it a game feature I should pursue?
