500kms yesterday, 500kms today. Very comfy & Safe!

I think I’m gonna sell this brand new build & have it done on a third pair that’s actually my perfect size. I had these bnib 11.5D 875s, but I am a B. I have my 10877 bnib sitting waiting for their maiden voyage. I think this is a good reason.

The first pair I had this done on, were worn, so a new outsole was part of the build. These were new & the 10877 are also, so I won’t overhaul the crepe wastefully.

The important part though is ankle crush protective cups/pads & a full interior leather counter which adds structural support / rigidity. What I need to add is a reinforced shifter patch actually. Hmmm. Hadn’t bothered previously, but, might be worthwhile. Any ideas on what style or how to do that?

This is the second pair I’ve done this job to. Except took it one step further.

Reinforced inner counter + I cannibalized a thrifted pair of riding boots for the tpu ankle crush protection cups. With padding, installed custom placement to my ankles. These boots are much stiffer & safer now than just plain leather boots.

Plus happy to toss my local cobbler a bit for the job.

My afternoon routine is always drop the bag & grab the leashes for a quick round the block, no matter what I’m wearing. It’s been boots for awhile, today I broke out the captoes.

Anyone else wear theirs tts? Is that the standard? I wonder if widths or narrows impact deviations or …. Maybe volume does?

Last few wears before Fall. I can’t do boots in hot temps, other than for riding of course.
