Tips and tricks thread

Can we start a thread for general tips and tricks? i'll go first with a tip i learned recently

For fluorescein staining on wiggly kids, take a 3cc syringe, your proparacaine drops, and the fluorescein strip. put a cap on the syringe and pull out the plunger and drop in the strip. put in about 2cc of your numbing drop and replace the plunger then mix up. you've now effectively created a numb+stain combo drop that's really nice on kids when you only get one chance at their eye. i know some ophtho offices have this has a pre-made drop, not sure why we don't get the same stuff, but it's handy

any similar tricks people can share?

Levoit LVAC-200 Essential vs Bissell PowerClean FurGuard

I know cordless stick vacuums are not the most powerful or best type of vacuum, however they're convenient and I'm the type of person that needs to have the lower possible barrier to cleaning to actually get it done. I have long hair that sheds and 2 cats that also shed like crazy so hair/pet hair pickup and tangle free roller are probably the most important features to me. If anyone has experience with either of these vacuums I'd appreciate any advice. General budget is $200 or less. Hardwood floors and lots of short pile rugs. Thanks!

why are we the only ones that have to be professional

nurses can ignore pages and orders. techs can ignore their jobs. nothing bad happens to them. I handle one situation kinda poorly at the end of a long shitty night shift when I'm already an hour over shift change and I have to have a meeting with my PD about professionalism concerns.

I'm tired of this grandpa

Lux living pillow replacement hell

please ignore how old and dry rotted the foam is I've been using this for 10 plus years because I can't find a replacement but it's finally time. I got this I think from a mattress firm as a free add-on when I got a mattress about 10 years ago. I think it's a latex foam based on how it looks and the general texture and floppiness of it. The brand lux living apparently doesn't exist anymore which is big sad for trying to replace this pillow. if anybody has a lead on something similar I'd appreciate it!

done by @foreverthesickestears Perri at Unity studio in Valparaiso, IN. She also did my daith and it's healed beautifully.

Any thoughts for what else to add? I've sworn off any more helix piercings because I just can't get them to heal well, otherwise I'm open to suggestions. my other ear has tragus, rook, conch, and triple lobes. Planning on matching the stacked lobes on the other side after this side heals up a bit!
