Just trying to figure this one out. Looking for anyone that's experienced this.

I have a 2005 and have noticed that the speakers will emit pops, generally on heavier bass hits, even at low volumes. It's also not consistent either. This is music being streamed from spotify, through a GTA Car Kit. I can listen to music for long periods and not have an issue, then a song with heavier bass can come on and on the bass hits will pop, even smooth bass hits. I can turn the volume down fairly low and the pops are still present. Then a song or two later the whole thing goes away.

The speakers are not blown, so I know it's not them. My concern is that it might be something in the amp (those damn leaky caps possibly). I also saw some posts that listed some connectors that might need to be replaced and it could be caused by crappy connectors.

Any hints would be great to hear. Thanks all!

One of my largest complaints about vehicles these days are where they always have the dash lights on, which, IMHO, is a major reason for people forgetting to turn on their lights at night.

I know at some point I'm going to get in the car and forget to turn on my lights now because of this.

Has anyone attempted to make it so that the always on dash lights are only on when the switch for the exterior lights has been enabled?

Bear in mind I haven't started with troubleshooting this yet. Waiting on access to a battery tester first since I think the battery is quite small here. My big concern is if this will be problematic once the Canadian winter kicks in.

Anyway, on cold starts (so far during the summer), instead of starting like "brabrabra vroom" this car seems to take its sweet time. Starting is more like "braaaaaabraaaaaabraaaaa vroom."

It has started without fail otherwise, just the initial start seems to be slow compared to other cars, even my motorcycle. Like the starter just spins slow.

Other than a weak battery, or a starter that might be on its way out, how normal does this seem? I did some looking and other slow start videos all seem like they're spinning faster than mine but taking longer cycles to start, so not the same thing as far as I can tell.

Hey all! So I just bought my old man's '05 TSX. It's been fairly well maintained and I'll be coming back to this sub looking for mods and what not.

Just installed my GTA Car Kit today and damn, what a nice update all on it's own.

However... WTF do I do with my phone? I have done some searching here, and online otherwise, but haven't found something that really speaks to me.

I've seen a number of holders that attach to the window, cup holder, vents, and what not. I would PREFER a holder that will clamp instead of a magnet, and generally something that's not going to be a reach from the driver seat. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't think I can safely use the cupholders since it's a manual. I would also prefer not to use a suction cup mount to the window where it might cut off my view. So that leaves me with a vent or... some other solution? Preferably nothing that would be permanent or damage anything with glue residue.

My hesitation around magnets is... uninformed. I don't know how a magnet will hamper anything with the phone (charging, NFC stuff, etc) or risks of data corruption (magnets and computers have always been bad, therefore still are, in my mind). If anyone can speak on that I would love to hear you out.

So, lets hear your best recommendations.

It was gathering some serious dust. I thought the regular PPCs would be fun and deadly but it was lackluster and overheating, not to mention slower than the second coming.

Light and medium mechs are one shot or massively unhappy after one volley. Mediums think twice about having a second taste of sparkly purple disco lights.

Seriously just fell in love with this beast.

And it was ridiculously easy! I had picked up a rare Battlemaster from my also recently purchased dragons gambit. Loaded up with tier 5 mp lasers, uac, lp laser, and srm, this thing hit like a truck! With a battering RAM. That's coated with fire. And tipped with a nuke.

And there i am in the first big arena fight wondering how this is going to go down and I wait a beat to leave the alcove. Then another beat. The commentator (hilarious by the way) is talking about mechs losing legs, arms, and weapons.

Then a few more dozen beats to the sound of lasers and auto cannons drumming outside the door.

7/11 mechs are down.

I step out, and a couple well placed shots and the last 4 are smouldering.

I feel guilty. But alive. I reload at the mech Bay because I don't have even a scratch on my armour. I run back to the safety of the alcove as round two starts.

The action, I'm sure, is frantic outside. Explosions and gunfire and lasers (oh my). A hunchback, limping, and missing an arm, walks by the door. Well... After a quick trigger pull he stopped walking.

The spider that was chasing him lands in nearly the same spot. If I could have seen the pilots eyes I'm sure they would have been the size of an ac20 barrel.

Half the field is gone and I step out again to play cleanup.

I get hit by a stray beam from a wounded king crab.

In my best Waterboy voice I mutter "62".

Round two was soon over. Not even an orange armour indicator on my panel.

Rinse. Repeat. Round three is done.

Then the assassin in an intimidating atlas spawns on the other side of the arena. I know he's got lrms. It would be silly if he didn't. I start running at him, I eat a couple salvos before I can place some large pillars in between us. I close the distance and pop out.

He looks angry.

He towers over my already imposing battlemaster.

He... Falls over. Cored. An alpha strike to the chest. I pulled the trigger on the uac until it went *click* (thank you, The Jesus, for the quote).

I still feel guilty. I'll wipe my eyes with c-bills.

The grappling gun that Ripley used at the end of Alien was jammed in the door. The gun was still there when she and her ship were found. Really appreciate that level of detail and continuity.

Are there any other little bits that occur in any other movies like that?
