Why some Italians seem to openly support Putin?

Why among all the EU countries the support for Ukraine in Italy is the lowest? And why some people not just try to justify Putin, but they openly support him and his aggression? Are there some sort of cynical pragmatic national reasons, influence of Russian oligarchs in businesses, old transient revisionism, NATO skepticism/Kremlin anti-western narratives or what?

Are there open scientific sociological studies about this trend? Thank you

I like TBC, it has interesting content with some reimagined mechanics and class design that still manage to preserve some of Vanilla philosophy, which I appreciated. I do enjoy the game. The only thing that really upsets me is the death/wipe irrelevance culture in dungeons.

I transferred my character from a Hardcore server because I wanted to experience TBC and try it out. I’m a big fan of Hardcore and try to keep that mindset even in TBC, although I know that for later content (and lower too due to nerfed open-world) TBC and Hardcore are basically incompatible and viable. Still, I wanted to keep that momentum. Not dying a single time while reaching new levels and frontiers is incredibly satisfying - you feel truly immersed in the game.

When it came to running dungeons with other people, I wanted to preserve that mentality. I gathered a good group, briefly explained the main mechanics, gave 5 healthpots to the tank and 5 mana pots to the healer and kindly asked everyone to try to keep the run smooth and aim for 0 wipes. I tried to be diplomatic and not pushy. Regardless of whether you like Hardcore or not (or simply don’t care) running a dungeon without a single death is always very very cool.

But at some point someone made a mistake… and we all died. That’s how I had my very first death with this char... It really upset me. We continued and then we died 2 more times. Honestly, I wanted to leave right away, but that would have made me look like a total asshole. Hopefully, we kept going and finished without further deaths.

Maybe it’s my Hardcore bias, but I wonder why the concept of death/wipes feels so crazily irrelevant in TBC. For context, I’m talking about max level normal dungeons, not Heroics or raids. I understand that in higher-end content wipes are inevitable. But in almost every normal dungeon I’ve run so far, about 90% of the wipes were completely avoidable. Just pay a lil more attention here, don’t rush there and look for your teammates resources and positions sometimes and it’s all should be fine.

The point of this rant: I was wondering if there are any guilds of former Hardcore players who transferred their characters to TBC like I did. If so, let me know where you play/what guild and maybe we can run dungeons the way we do on Hardcore servers and kind of keep playing in that atmosphere.

I play Horde on an EU PvE server. (If there are Alliance former-HC players in EU, feel free to message me too.)

Thanks in advance.
