Why do they have to advertise this way?

I was looking to buy a mop on Instamart and was legit surprised to see this. I find it frustrating that some advertisements depict women with household tasks, like here by kinda implying that mopping is primarily a woman's task. I think these kinds of ads should be stopped. What are your thoughts on this?

Why is there so much uncertainty even after 24 years of life!

It's my birthday today. I turn 24. I have been low in life for a month due to various reasons. I consider myself a smart and hard working guy from when I was young. I got into a tier 2 university and got placed into one of the top MNCs. I get paid decent enough but still I am hating my work lately. There's a reason I took computer science, I used to love coding. Now it has all become vibe coding and token burn. It's been months since I manually wrote any code.

I have made some amazing friends throughout my school and college. But most of the time I feel I get used. There are a lot of people who were really close to me in college, who wanted to work together in projects and talk a lot, and get some insights on courses. They almost stopped talking now. I feel they just got close to me for studies. It has been the same scenario with some of my school friends as well. I see people admiring me but a very few of them actually treat me like friends. Why do I get admired but not loved!?

I have never been in a relationship. I had crushes but never actually went ahead and did something about it till my college. Last year I met someone who I actually liked and was interested in making things serious with her a month ago. I had enough courage to ask her out because I was certain she liked me back! But she wasn't ready for something serious. I agreed with her and got closure but I don't think I healed completely from that rejection. She texted me today, sending me birthday wishes, I kinda teared up immediately after looking at it.

Today I did nothing special for my birthday. Not even a new dress. Only a cake cutting with my family in the evening and temple at night almost closing time. I have been thinking about all these throughout the day and I just felt sad.

There is an insane amount of uncertainty and almost no satisfaction in my life right now.

Should I do a masters/Phd? Should I get a new job? Should I change my field? Should I follow my passion for photography and make a career out of it? How do I get over this cutest woman i ever met!? Will I ever be able to date someone again!? Will I ever get into a relationship? Will I ever find love?

This is prolly the worst birthday of mine! I hope I will have lesser questions and more confidence in myself and more certainty in life by my next birthday! I don't know why, but I wanted to share this with someone, I don't think I am comfortable doing it with my family or friends so I decided to put it here.

I know there are a lot of things I am happy about and appreciate in my life. It's just the overthinking today made me think about all this stuff!

Children have such a pure heart asalu 🥺

Today one of my cousins got married. I have a niece who attended the wedding too, who's around 2-3 years old. The bride is her Chinnamma and the groom is going to be her babai. During appaginthalu my cousin was crying a lot. My niece asks me, 'Pinni endhuku edusthundhi!?' I tell her pelli aypoyndhi kadha, verey intiki velthundhi ani bayapadthundhi pinni. Then she says, 'Mari babai endhuku edvatledhu!?' 🥺

I felt it was so cute and so pure. I thought to myself, children always grow up with the mentality of no gender discrimination. It's the stupid society who roots the stupid misogynist thoughts into them. The wordings of appaginthalu mantraalu itself are that way, making it feels like it's the bride who's leaving behind her parents and starting something new. When it's both the bride and groom who are getting into the relationship! Shouldn't both of them be equally scared about it and cry!? Or shouldn't both of them be equally confident and not cry!!? Why are the mantraalu worded to make only the bride scared and cry?

Got a closure but how do I get over this!?

I was talking to this cute, sweet, funny woman I met online for more than 4-5 months. We flirted, went on a few dates (online and offline). It was kind of a situationship. I really liked her a lot as we just bonded so well and she did too. One day I had decided to make things serious as I was ready to put in efforts to make it work and have asked her if we could start a serious relationship, through a puzzle I made for her birthday (she loves word games). She had done that and told she's not in the point of life she wants to start something new and don't want to do it without being completely into it. She was also not okay with long distance.

Anyways, I completely understand her and I have decided to move on. She wants me to be friends but I said I don't think I can do that as I can't resist myself from flirting with her and stopped talking to her! I got a closure!

It's been a few days now. Not a day goes by without thoughts of her coming into my brain. I do something interesting or funny, I feel ugh I wish I could share this with her, she would have loved it and laughed along. How do I get over this!? I know continuing to talk to her might not help but the urge to do it is intense. I hate my brain, I hate my memory. I wish I could forget things easily. Should I talk to her and try to be just friends or is that a stupid idea? Please give your suggestions 🥺
