How did you stand firm on your decision and survive the emotional warfare with your parents/family? My mom is a master manipulater and my dad is unpredictable and will not hesitate to pretend like you don’t exist while being nasty. I do have to clarify though, i don’t believe i’m in any physical danger.
I’m planning on officially taking the hijab off, even though i’ve been a “part time hijabi” for months and both my parents know (they just don’t want to accept that they’re daughter is “slipping away”). By official i mean like actually walking out the door without it on and not having to do a whole transformer. I know that they’re dramatic and will say anything to make me wear it again, my dad once told me i wasn’t his daughter if i stopped wearing it and mind you this was just me telling him i didn’t want to wear it anymore. I know the following weeks are going to be horrible, but i seriously don’t know how to deal with it without breaking down. I just want tips/advice/others stories.

Both my parents keep sending me videos abt how i’m going to hell for taking off the hijab and they’re being so cold to me. How do i deal with this? I obviously expected this, but it honestly hurts more than i imagined.

Anyone dealt with this before? I feel so disconnected from who i am and how others see me to the point where i physically can’t go outside unless. And it’s inly getting worse now that summer is coming up and i don’t know how to deal with it
