I have had Florence for almost 5 years, and Nieve showed up in our yard one week ago. Florence is 10 years old, and Nieve is 6 weeks. Apparently they fought (hissing and growling from Florence) over the spot between my legs before Florence gave up and slept off to the side. Nieve usually walks away when Florence hisses. We are well on the way to a happy two cat household
The vet said he was her favorite appointment of the day. We confirmed that he is a boy.
My husband feeds the neighborhood animals and this baby appeared today. He tolerated the flea bath like a champ, then fell asleep in the towel. 5-6 weeks old, we think the dad is Mr. Ballz (see my post history). We are trying to TNR the parents before we move across town. If the resident tortie doesn’t warm up to him, I have a friend that already called dibs. So, what should we name him?
My husband has been feeding the neighborhood cats, and this pretty boy has become a frequent customer. He is cross eyed, beautiful, hungry, and intact. The neighbors think he is homeless, as he also hangs out in their yard and at the dentist office down the street. My friend jokingly called him Mr. Ballz, for obvious reasons if you see him from behind.
We are getting ready to move to another part of town next week, and have gotten attached to Mr. Ballz. We are renters, and our resident cat (an ESA) is not amicable with other cats. We will be moving to a 3br duplex and could theoretically have space to keep them separated for awhile, but I worry that he might bring behavior problems (like peeing on stuff) since he’s likely feral and unfixed. Idk what to do, because we like him and want to help and are limited by circumstances. He is so pretty, I’m sure a family would snatch him up quickly if he learns to trust people.
