Anyone else's (filtered) scheduled posts skipping the queue all of the sudden?

We filter to trigger mods to add the link to our Community Hub app. We've had to shift the reminder over to Discord, which is super annoying.

Weirdly enough, the weekly scheduled posts are working but the daily is not. We remade/rescheduled, and we tried it with automations.

Just seeing if I'm not alone, idk wtf is happening.

r/weird seeking mods

r/weird needs some more weirdos!

Experience strongly preferred (SFW) but not necessary. Will also consider users with subreddit activity, history of prior content moderation off site, or consistent activity on reddit. No new accounts (<6 months).

Our primary challenges (other than the philosophical question of "what is weird?") are fighting spam, product placement, and race-baiting, so bonus points if you can feel like you can reliably clock coded Indophobia, Islamophobia and xenophobia in general.

You can reply below or just skip straight to the app: https://www.reddit.com/r/Weird/application/

Marie Antoinette's green silk corset is on public display for the last time in Paris

I thought this community might enjoy seeing one of the most remarkable pieces currently on display at the Palais Galliera in Paris: this green silk corset, believed to have belonged to Marie Antoinette.

According to current research, experts continue to attribute this corset to Marie Antoinette. They date it to the 1770s–1780s, during her early years at Versailles, when she was between 15 and 25 years old. Its cut and silhouette are also consistent with that dating.

The corset was previously exhibited in 2017, but due to its fragility and historical significance, it cannot be displayed permanently.
It is currently on public view for what the museum says will be the final time, until July 12, before returning to the museum's archives.

If anyone happens to be in Paris before then, I'd definitely recommend the exhibition. And for those who aren't, I hope you enjoy seeing this surviving piece of 18th-century fashion :)

(These are my photos, but if you'd like to see higher-quality ones, here's a link to the museum's website : https://www.palaisgalliera.paris.fr/collections/les-collections-du-musee/xviie-xviiie-siecle/corset-de-marie-antoinette )

Edit : I know it doesn’t look green on my bad quality pics, please stop saying « Green?? » and check the link for the museum’s official photos ! Let’s not have a new blue and black or white and gold dress debate lmao
Thanks !

Her wings were damaged by high winds, so she’s been living my terrace for a week and today she crawled on me while I wasn’t looking and hitched a ride inside

I guess I have a new pet? I’ve been feeding her sugar water droplets when I see her crawling around the terrace, did she crawl on me because I’m the food giver? She was just chilling on my back prob for like 5-10 min before I walked inside and noticed. Are they that smart? I’m honestly afraid of wasps and my husband is shocked that I’ve adopted this broken one 😂

Post settings update appears to have broken our post settings? Is it just us?

As the title states. Crossposting is turned off yet crossposting works and crossposted content is being published. Shreddit and mobile. Or reposting, as I see it's been rebranded!

Hat tip to u/automod for always being a backup to update-related failures!

How will users be notified of video in comments capability?

I tried asking in the r/modnews post but I guess it’s dead now!

Curious if it’s going to be announced quietly ie in r/news and users just have to notice the new button, or it we are going big with an inbox notification.📣

If everyone abruptly knows, we would start with some stricter automod filtering then loosen up appropriately. We only have minimal problems with people using images and gifs to get around rules, buuuuut we all know what people are like with new toys. And I’d rather be proactive than reactive so hoping someone knows or admin will pop up and share.

Help with my retaining wall placement in a tricky spot?

Tl;dr I think I have a pretty simple project in front of me but given it’s on top of a tall, highly engineered retaining wall (retaining wall inception??), hoping for Reddit to tell me if it’s ok lol

Some context, this is an upstairs garden located at the top of a very large/tall cement retaining wall (see last few photos) which is mostly in really good condition. The back wall is also a retaining wall holding back another level (about 1M high) and not in good condition as you can see, but the neighbor on that side has plans to brace and repair it. I *think* I should be less concerned with that than with adding pressure to the front with my additions at the moment!

I just want to create a few leveled areas for a table and chairs and yoga. Some slopes can remain. What I marked now follows the line of a pre-existing wall that broke down over time (the bottom most red line) that would end up around 30cm high. The second line is a little more arbitrary, also would max out at 30-40cm if even.

Materials are TBD, pretty rock if I can source it but worst case will be cement blocks or those hollow red bricks the back wall is made out of, on top of packed gravel and filled with gravel. I have some spare rebar lying around too I can use if anyone suggests. Just super happy to hear literally any opinions that aren’t mine 💀

Tysm in advance
