In another universe, Chris Chan was a troll himself and created countless lolcows and victims instead
And also he's British and politically uninvolved, so he's not alt-right or anything like that. Just look at the image's text for the lore.
If scientists had a better understanding of DNA-rewriting technology and invented species transformation procedures, only for people to make it a fad
This is another more a hard fantasy-esque ASB timeline (Project Peony).
During around the 2010s, Welsh research company named P&E invents the "CLASH" gene-editing technology which is used to "change" things in the body. This, in turn, allowed for more efficient medical treatments like for re-growing a missing arm or disease immunity.
However, because of the versatility of "CLASH", some scientists figured out how to turn someone into an anthro while keeping them identifiable entirely. Around 2024 was when the very first trans-species operation was done, and for years it was only provided to people who are diagnosed with species dysphoria (which some individuals of communities like Therianthropy would experience), until it made its way to countries like Sonko and became unregulated.
This led to some people, dysphoric or not, "transfurring" at unlicenced medical institutions, which caused either casualties or severe genetic disorders. As we see in Image 1, most of the Sonkish people who had underwent the procedure were cosplayers who wanted to look more alike to their character, although the procedure is permanent and can only be overridden but not reverted back to human.
Back in countries where trans-species procedures are more legally regulated, like Freedonia or The Dominion, it is still being frowned upon, as seen in Image 2, where Saxon YouTuber "Barkalat" criticises "cringe" trans-species individuals, though this stigmatisation is connected to the hate on therians during around 2021-2023.

Yes, I know, this is yet another ASB, interestingly enough this idea came from a dream I had when I was infected with COVID back in 2022
Ryan Kaji (Ryan's World) was alive when Kim Jong Il was leader of North Korea, but missed Steve Jobs being the CEO of Apple by 1 day
it was also TIL that I was 1 day from being 4 months old on the day Kim Jong Il died
The current UI of Filmscape, the successor to YouTube in my timeline, screenshotted in August 2026
Yep, I know y'all have been waiting for the reveal of what the Filmscape site looks like in the present day of 2026. So, here ya go!
Yes, the WUIAU timeline not only butterflies the internet culture, it also helped with the secession movements of Quebec that originally took place in 2009-2011 and led to a successful referendum in 2012. Gens du pays was no longer the anthem used during those movements, but rather an anthem originating from forums named Notre Nouvelle Maison was preferred instead, which is why it was also known by some as the "New Home Movement".
Note: Some assets were made by my friend Agkware, though the layout of the UI and the thumbnails & titles you're seeing right now are made by me
(Also, the streaming service styled-UI is pretty much intentional)
The homepage UI of Clover, a modernised 4chan which evolved to become less hostile
Lore: Due to the nature of the fast-growing internet in the late 2000s, 4chan decided to revamp itself from being a simple niche post forum into an actual social network site. In 2009, 4chan rebranded into Clover, and actually used moderators regularly for the first time in its history. Evantually, threads could grow into sub-boards, there was a blessing-curse rating system, and Anonymous accounts coexisted with (a newly introduced feature) registered accounts during 2018-2023, when signing up/log-in became a requirement.
A follow-up to the YouTube homepage timeline, also known as "Woke Up in Another Universe". I based the design off of Reddit, though there are definitely things that are different from OTL in this screenshot. Now spot all of them if you can. Go!
An alternate timeline where the Backrooms existed 3 years earlier

Part of my internet-focused "Woke Up In Another Universe" timeline where Netscape Navigator was released as free software which caused twice as much development and evolution on the WWW
Not sure if website designs that showcase things from different timelines are allowed on here, but, anyway here you go
PS Try to spot all the differences from OTL ;)
About 3 days later, Kane Parsons, a Hollywood film director, will be able to drink alchohol legally in the US for the first time
Unless he goes to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands
