Trying to find a psychiatrist that is comfortable with benzos?

I am not drug seeking - I have severe anxiety and C-PTSD from abuse up until the age of 18, and a series of unfortunate events that followed. When I moved here, I was prescribed 1 mg of clonazepam (Klonopin) to be taken 2x daily (morning/night).

However, when trying to find a psychiatrist here, I was turned away from some practices altogether that did not prescribe benzos. I've seen 3 psychiatrists here, and they have gotten me down to 0.25 mg clonazepam as needed (which is still daily). This wasn't my choice. They have all been adamantly against the usage.

I'm not functioning as well, and I'm on a lot more medication for anxiety. Most recently, my psychiatrist suggested beta blockers as an alternative. I know all of the risks, but I have daily panic attacks. It takes a lot to sedate me.

Does anyone know of a psychiatrist who is comfortable prescribing benzodiazepines?

I think the moccamaster has made our coffee worse? User error question

Is this a safe space? My husband is BIG into coffee and I’m admittedly out of my wheel house here.

However, I have a really strong sense of smell and taste. We upgraded from a generic office style coffee machine to the Moccamaster, but recently quality seems to have fallen to the wayside. The batches have tasted acidic and not good. I really noticed a difference when I started getting coffee from work and using our creamer from home.

Could this be a me problem? He grinds the beans and does all the steps. I don’t see what could be causing this. He barely has a sense of smell and doesn’t taste a difference. He takes a lot of pride in the beans he uses. I’m veering on offending him, so that’s why I’m coming here. What could be causing the coffee to taste so rancid and acidic? He drinks it black.

Has anyone had lip blushing done?

I live in Alexandria, and the place I usually go to for other things offers it for $750, but that seems steep. However, I don’t want to cheap out on something like this 😅

Has anyone here gotten it done? I’d love to hear about any experiences and/or recommendations on where to go!

Have we talked about the lighthouse scene in last night’s episode?

Who was standing out there staring in during the storm? That was pretty unnerving. Just another entity?

Edit: it appears that it was just Tom standing there menacingly. Was really excited for my first discussion post :(

After shots and neutering, when should I take my kittens to the vet for the first time?

My kittens are 11 months old. They were spayed and neutered by the organization I adopted them from and have received all of their shots.

When do I start taking them to see a vet? At 1 year? Until a problem arises? They are currently healthy.
