Day shift made me soft.

I've been working as a dishwasher for almost 2 years, the first year and a half was evening shift until I got transferred to day shift because the previous dishie quit. I worked the evening shift tonight for the first time in a while, I learned I definitely did not miss it.

I (M 19, UNITED STATES) have this sweet guy named "Baker". He is a ginger male, he is considered "the king of the block". He's a stray we became attached to a few years ago.

He's so sweet, but not to other cats. He constantly gets into fights, including other people's pet cats. He often sprays to mark his territory, and he sprays EVERYTHING. He is also a SLUT.

I don't know how old he is, but I'd say he's about 6+ years old since he started coming around in 2022. I'm trying to convince my mom to get him spayed soon, because he's BEEN needing to get spayed because he keeps knocking up cats and it's hard finding a home for them.

I don't know why my parents let things get this bad but since I am now 19 and employed so I'm finally able to do something about this.

Here's the actual questions/TLDR:

• How much will neutering Baker tone down his aggression towards other cats?

• Will he stop spraying everywhere? Or at least tone it down?

I know the answers, but I'm just worried considering he's 6+ years old and has these habits.
