How long did it take until you received your AEMCA certificate in the mail?

During the OPPAT, my grip on my left failed while carrying the 210lbs stretcher through the obstacle course.
I’d appreciate any advice on how to fix this besides the common deadlift. I’ve been deadlifting and doing so many farmer carries, but it doesn’t seem to help.

How do you avoid getting blisters from waxing? I don’t use hot wax. I use the wax strips that come in a box from the store. I’ve never had this issue before, so hopefully it’s just a one off, but I’m not sure what I did wrong for it to even happen.

My dad has had relationships with very abusive women in the past. These relationships have had a direct impact on me as a child and as an adult. I was targeted by their abuse.
Now my dad has a new gf and he’s invited her to stay over for 4 days. I’ve never met this woman and I personally think a sleepover is a super inappropriate way to meet her. I told my dad I was going to leave those days and return when she’s gone, but I’d be happy to meet her for lunch or something less intense. He thinks I’m being rude and that my actions are going to upset the gf. To quote he said “that makes me sad. You’re going to offend her. How are you supposed to get to know someone if you don’t spend time with them?” Apparently she was going to be cooking us meals while staying here….. that gives me the creeps. I don’t want to play house with this person.
To be honest, I don’t even want a relationship with this woman. I understand that I’m letting my dad’s past relationships tarnish my view of his current relationship….. so, I’m more than happy to meet in the middle by small get togethers, spending time with her during family events, etc. however, I’m not going out of my way to spend time with this person. It honestly makes me incredibly uncomfortable

EDIT : to clarify, I am living with my dad as I have just graduated college and need to pass a licensing exam before I can find work. Thus I’m living with him for financial reasons.

Of course this is his house and he is absolutely allowed to make his own decisions about who he has over here. I just don’t want to be here while the girlfriend is sleeping over. That is where we disagree.

Hey all!
I’m a recent paramedic graduate. I’ve been looking into globalmedic volunteering after a professor brought it to my attention. I think I’d love to be part of it for a little while before I settle down with a career as a full time medic somewhere. I think the experience would be extremely valuable.
Is there anyone here who has had experience with doing this?
Will it reflect poorly once I start applying to jobs after volunteering?
