What would you do: envelope of blank postcards

Someone who had sent me a postcard a while ago just sent me a large envelope full of postcards, and they all had post its with descriptions of the collections they came from. Would you keep the postcards as is, or would you send them out to new people?

I’m super grateful and the postcards are so cool, but I would feel bad writing on them and sending them out if that isn’t the intended purpose!

Sending a postcard back?

I had a postcard sent to me that had a return address (i assume in case there was an issue so the post office could return to sender), which I don’t usually see on postcards. I’m itching to send more out while I wait for the postcards I’ve sent to get registered, so would it be weird to send one to this person?

Do doctors check for tampons in emergency surgeries?

Let’s say you’re in a car crash and it’s bad, like you need emergency surgery that will take a very long time. What happens if you’re wearing a tampon or a diva cup? Do doctors check to see if you’re wearing one and remove it? Toxic Shock Syndrome on top of recovering from surgery would really suck, but if I was a doctor and I got a case like this, my first thought probably wouldn’t be to check, you know?

I’ve sent way more than I have received?

Still new to this hobby so forgive me!! I have sent out 9 postcards that have been received, but I have only gotten 2 sent to me. I’ve read it’s very slow in the start, but I also heard that the sent and received numbers should be pretty even. I actually just had a postcard I sent 42 days ago registered today, so I assume I have some on their way to me and it’s just taking a while. Has anyone else experienced this?

Products to help face sweating?

I only sweat excessively on my head/face. It’s the worst under my eyes and on my forehead/hairline. It very much gets in my hair, causing it to plaster to my forehead or stick out. I’m looking into Botox, but are there any products anyone could reccommend that would work on the face?

Should I mention where I’m from if the postcard is from another city?

I live super close to a major city in the US, but technically I’m from/live in the state next to it. I feel like it would take a lot of room in the message to explain this, but I also want them to know exactly where the card was sent from. Plus, if they have questions about my town or state, it might be confusing (I am definitely overthinking and I know it probably does not matter, I’m just curious what people think!)

Cheap places for stamps/cards online?

I am absolutely LOVING postcrossing so far!! I live in the US and stamps are expensive, so I’m curious if there are places I should be looking? Either online or in person!

Do people care about the stamps?

I just started postcrossing, and I’m trying to use materials I have already instead of buying a bunch of new stuff. I have quite a few forever stamps, but they are all Christmas themed. I’ve noticed some people can be very particular about what kinds of postcards they would like to recieve; is it the same with the stamps? I don’t think people would really care, but I’m just curious!

How safe is it really?

I just learned about postcrossing today and I am so interested, but I’m a little hesitant having my address online. I know only people who are about to send me a postcard can see it, but has there been any incidents? I’d love if someone could just calm my nerves

▲ 2 r/relationshipproblems+1 crossposts

My (26f) boyfriend (27m) asked me for a break. Part of the reason why is that he is my first serious relationship.

One thing he mentioned is that he wants to see how we both feel after we get over the initial shock of the break. He said he obviously misses me now (and I absolutely miss him), and if we’re as strong as we thought we were, we will still feel the same way in a few weeks.

Is it true that absence makes the heart grow fonder? I’m scared that going from talking every day for 2+ years to suddenly not communicating or seeing each other for a few weeks will make us both start falling out of love.

He also wants me to experience life and make sure spending my life with my first love is what I want. He talked about me going out and seeing other people, but if I’m not talking to him and actively talking to other people, I’m afraid that will jump start me getting over him.

I love him and want him in my life, but to his point, this really is the first time I have been in love. I feel like logically, not talking or seeing each other would make our feelings weaker, but I guess love doesn’t always follow logic. Right now he’s all I can think about and my heart hurts, but if its true love, will i still feel thisway in a few months or weeks? Or will i start subconciously getting used to being alone?

Tl;dr: will we still be in love after not communicating for a bit? And will i still be in love even after experiencing other people like he wants me to?
