[Husband is Useless] by Chinkemkasimma Cassidy Chukwuma

She had always known husbands were useless, yet she married two of them anyway. . .

Funny, raw, and unapologetically Nigerian, Husband Is Useless is a story about tradition, societal expectations, rebellion, betrayal, and the slow fire that builds inside a woman who has been told to endure everything. . . until the day she stops.

Struggle/Budget tips?

Thought we'd share some for the community and see where it goes? Got the idea from a recent post.

Some people are having it tough and some might just not have an idea of a better option. We could probably crosspost as well to r/nairafinance.

Here's mine:

  1. Some Churches, especially if you're a member do offer financial support for hospital treatments and provide free water.

  2. Again with Churches, I can only speak for Catholic, there are job postings on thier bulletin (Weekly mass guides).

  3. Staying in a low light area? Invest in a big powerbank and know your nearest charging station.

  4. Medication? Don't go to a pharmacy in a high cost area. If you're feeling AC kindly step out. You'll pay more there because they've got bills to pay. This can save up to 5k or more sometimes.

[Possibility] by Sareeta Domingo - very interested in reading this 🥰

Anika Lapo wakes up in the hospital on her 30th birthday after a health scare that forces her to confront a painful truth: her life hasn't turned out the way she imagined. Determined to change her future, she begins writing nightly diary entries describing the life she wants—and, mysteriously, those wishes start coming true.

As her career begins to flourish, she pursues her dream of becoming a DJ, reconnects with people from her past, and finds herself growing closer to Cam, a man she's long admired. But the more perfectly her life unfolds, the more Anika has to ask whether controlling every outcome is really the same as finding happiness.

"The opposition is the one doing the kidnapping..." So what?

I've heard this being brought up as a counter argument so many times. Yeah and so?

Even if it was the opposition, any group with any negative agenda shouldn't be able to freely and comfortably carry out thier plans with little to no consequences. It just exposed vulnerabilities in our security that needs to be addressed regardless. So please stop, it's not an excuse. The president controls the armed forces, use the same energy to violently secure votes to secure your country.

Is my $2 in my bank account at risk if I buy an old android flagship, no more security updates and install my bank apps on it?
