This would require somehow getting off Vando’s contract by either waiving and stretching him or finding a team willing to take him in a trade so we can pay Rui more. If we traded him, we might have to package him with Dalton and potentially Adou to get someone to take his contract. Thybulle would obviously come on a veteran minimum after that.

Obviously we beat them in the playoffs and I’ll take that, but they had us on the ropes. They also beat us earlier in the year. I know the Panthers were a decent team last year, but almost every other playoff team they faced handled them pretty easily.

Really hoping this isn’t it and that we have more moves coming. In a perfect world, we’d somehow pull two wings out of our ass and move Grimes and Mamu to the bench. But then again we don’t have any picks left to trade so I don’t know what they’re going to do.

If so, that’s a need out of the way. We still need bench depth, and having two young players who can contribute off the bench would be huge. The Lakers also need a better starting center and a solid point of attack wing for the starting lineup so if these two can become legitimate bench pieces next year, it’ll be much easier to address most of the team’s needs in this one offseason.
