Help remembering the name of a band.

In 2000, I visited my aunt Guildford and saw a band on MTV that I really liked. In the music video, I specifically remember the band entering an object by climbing chrome/metallic stairs that lowered down from above them.

I want to say it was a huge dinosaur statue or maybe a UFO? The details are a little fuzzy. Also I think the singer wore a bright green t-shirt.

The chorus had a line that was something like “I get my (blank) from a lemon” ? Maybe I’m misremembering that.

I realize this isn’t much to go on, but If anyone can help me remember this band, I would be so excited!

Edit: I live in the US. I visited my aunt in Guildford for the Holidays in 2000. This song wasn’t in rotation at all in the US.

Hasbro 84 pack progress.

Ok.
I’ve got my tubes and fittings swapped.
Ribbon cable and clamp are replaced.
Decals from MobySigns.
Light wreathing with Rub ‘n buff.

How am I doing?

I’d like to get metal warning and Motor Sync decals if anyone has a good source for those.

Waiting on GP Star II to ship.

Aluminum shock mount is on the way.

Might replace the ion arm with a metal one. Any recommendations?

How’s your pack coming along?

Is there something you do to all your teles to make it yours?

I like a reverse control set up, a bisby, and witch hat knobs.

I built this tele out of spare parts and I’m pretty stoked on it, but the bridge is driving me nuts!

This body came from the factory (MIJ body) with this bridge and it definitely sucks. It’s clearly not made for a tele radius neck.

Anyone have any relatively affordable mustang style bridge recommendations that work with a tele?

Thanks one million.

Tele update!

I know I said that the stock pickups sounded good, and they did! But they didn’t stand out in our band mix enough.

So I asked Jeeves and found the JB-1400 tele stack from the bridge and the Jazz model humbucker for the neck.

I don’t know that I’ve ever played a tele that sounds quite like this. I can’t find a setting I don’t like. It’s versatile as hell.

Final (probably) parts list -

- Squire baritone body
- MIJ Fender neck
- Reverse wiring harness w/ 500k pots from Smokey B
- Fender Hat knobs
- Amazon banjo arm rest
- Bigsby b5 with Chet Atkins wire arm mod
- Vibramate stage II adapter for bigsby b5
- Vibramate Brass slotted saddles
- Seymour Duncan JB-1400 Tele stack bridge pickup
- Seymour Duncan Jazz Model neck pickup

TLDR: I built my dream tele and it rips.

I’m a sucker for a double bound body.

And a Chet Atkins arm….and a pearly pick guard…
