Hi,

I recently got my IndusInd Avios Credit card.

I used a different email in my bank account and so, they have created me a new Qatar Privilege Club account even though I have mentioned my existing Qatar Privilege Club account number (Linked to my different email).

Old account has 63 Avios (Also liked to Accor Limitless account).

I wanted to merge my accounts (Likely to keep my new account and transfer the Avios from old to new account) and so I decided to contact Qatar,

- No email to contact. Either phone number or there will be a form to submit the request. I contacted them via call and explained the situation. They asked me to raise a request.

- To raise a request, there is no option specific to the account merge. So you have to select a random option (I selected, claim missing miles) and raised the request.

- You have to fill a merge request form, and then add your ID proof as well in the request. Note that they won’t accept any file which is more than 150 KB. So you have to compress the files before uploading. The error that showed when I uploaded the large file was misleading. It said something like - the file name should be less than 150 characters which makes no sense.

- After I submitted the form, got an email after a week stating there has been a reply to my request. They shared a link to check the request. Upon opening , the only thing I could see is status is closed, and an option to reply.

- I checked my both Qatar PC account and looks like it’s not merged. Not sure if my request is rejected or accepted. The status just said it’s “CLOSED”. I replied to the request asking for more details.

Now that I’m currently waiting for further reply, would like to know:

1. Have anyone ever faced this issue of getting a new Qatar PC account created via IndusInd Avios and got the accounts merged? If so, please share your experience and I can follow those steps.
2. I have delinked the Qatar Old account and Accor account. How long should I wait to link the new Qatar PC account (When I tried, it just showed error).

I have add on cards for my family and extended family.

Parents in laws - 2 Infinia cards
Parents - 2 Premier card.

I would like to change one Inifinia & Premier for parents and for parents in laws.

So is it possible on HSBC & HDFC to cancel an add-on and get add-on for another person?

If anyone has done it, please share your experience. Mainly on HDFC.

Main reason is, I want my parents & parents in law to put all their spends in Infinia to cover the 18L milestone.

Today, I tried to make the rent payment today, and could see the RentenPe charges are increased. They used to charge 1.1% + GST. Now it's 2.5% + GST.

Doesn't make sense anymore to use the CC to pay the rent payments.

I used to use HSBC Premier with RedGiraffe, where they only charge 0.46% + GST which was very good.

But now with 3.5%+ GST on RentenPe (Including the 1% GST), it's not wise to use RentenPe for the rent payments.

I got my Infinia last year as LTF and it’s been a year and have made spends of 12 Lakhs.

I haven’t got any email from HDFC regarding the 18L spend or 50L relationship. I’m not sure if I need to maintain a 18L spend on my Infinia card.

1. Is there a place in MyCards or HDFC Net banking to check if I need to match the spend criteria?

2. Are there folks who doesn’t need to meet the spend criteria for their Infinia card?
