Dj Pro for Googlebooks

Dj Pro for Googlebooks

Hi all!
Last night I was watching a video on YouTube about the new Googlebooks and I noticed that Dj Pro has the “made for desktops” badge on the Play Store, meaning that’s is optimized for the new platform. As Googlebook is android for desktop I was wondering if Algoriddim made a better android app bringing the full desktop experience on the platform or at least on par with the iOS version.
Not that I am planning to purchase a googlebook any time soon, but it would be interesting to see quality dj apps on the new platform. I can’t find any further information on the web. Does anyone know something more?
Ps. The screenshot is from android digest YouTube channel.

Loop encoder seems to be the new standard for AlphaTheta.

After the release of the CDJ-1500X and the XDJ-AN seems that AlphaTheta replaces the classic in & out loop buttons with an encoder. I personally like it, as I use it in my Reloop Buddy controller, but this is not the point of this topic.

How do you think this change will affect your decision for purchasing old hardware like flx or grv controllers for learning/practicing purposes? Obviously, I am not talking about pros with top of the line hardware like xdj-az or cdj 3000 & 3000x that will remain the standard till the next hardware generation.

What I mean is that Ι am thinking to update from Reloop Buddy ton a FLX4, not because I really need it, just for the ability to play/practice in Rekordbox, Now I have second thoughts if it better to wait for new entry level hardware to update.

Is my question valid, or am I overthinking it? What do you think?

I need help with my dj library. I am so confused...

Hi everyone!!!

Guys I need your help to organize and keep up to date my music library. This is not about a specific dj software, that's why I post on this sub.

Let me start with the basics. I am not a dj, not even a bedroom dj. I just like to mess around with dj software and listen to my music. I have a reloop buddy and I mostly use it with my ipad, but I also use my work pc and my mac mini to prepare my playlists. I have also access to a friend's flx4 and I am looking for a chance for an flx4 for my self.

I am very confused, and I don't really know how to explain it, but I will try. Please have in my mind that the main problem it the lack of LOCAL storage. I have plenty of cloud storage, 5TB on Microsoft OneDrive and 50GB on iCloud, but not enough local storage. The final goal is to have my DJ library available and up to date on my work pc/mac and of course in my usb drive in onelibrary format. At the moment I am writing this post the only place that has my dj library completed is my usb drive.

When I seriously started to create playlists, I used Dj Pro in my work PC. I keep my music library separated form my dj library because I like to use the traditional folder structure for albums and playlists. I am adding my music to dj pro, create my playlists, analyze tracks and when everything is ready on PC I transfer my playlists on my USB Drive using Onelibrary. This worked fine, until I started have issues with local storage on my work pc. I deleted all my dj pro library, and I transferred my onelibrary files to my icloud. Then I simlink my music/djpro/media folder to icloud and it seems to work, but DJ Pro every time I click on a playlist starts downloading all files, and this is something that I don't want to happen.

Then I tried with Rekordbox. As far as I can understand Rekordbox lets you to choose the folder of your library. I chose the same icloud folder as dj pro. It also lets you analyze tracks in phrases so I gave it a try. I have done many things to create or sync my library that I can't even remember to describe. The result was to have duplicate or missing files. Another problem that I facing with Rekordbox is that it can't play music directly form USB as DJ Pro does.

I am completely lost right now, and I really don't know what to do. Anyone here on the same boat with me to tell me how to start.
