What is this effect called and how would I go about animating it?

I’ve seen this effect being used recently and thought it would be cool to animate the smear coming from a moving object/person but I don’t know where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Automate delay ramping

Is there a way to automate parameters in the HX Stomp similar to the Flux function on the HX One?

I’m trying to have a delay change from a 1/8 note rate to a 1/2 note rate, but I’d like the change to happen in time with the tap tempo instead of instantly jumping when I hit a footswitch.

Basically, I want the delay time/rate to ramp or transition musically over a set amount of time, synced to the current tempo. Is there any way to do this on the HX Stomp with snapshots, expression control, MIDI, or some kind of workaround?

Any help from people who have tried something similar would be appreciated.

Anyone know what song this was? - Gorgon City

The smoke made for such a cool effect during Gorgon City. I literally couldn’t look away.

Negativity Theory: Reflecting on Bonnaroo 2026

I’ve been seeing a lot of negativity posted across various threads about this year’s Bonnaroo, and I wanted to share a theory I have about why I think many of the issues being discussed are less about the organization that puts on this amazing festival and more about our society as a whole.

We’ve reached a point where technology and standards of living have become so advanced that our tolerance for inconvenience has dramatically decreased.

For most of human history, discomfort, uncertainty, and things not going according to plan were simply accepted as part of life. Today, we live in a world where food can be delivered to our door in minutes, information is available instantly, and customer service is expected to solve problems immediately. As a result, many people have developed an expectation that everything should work perfectly all the time.

From my personal experience, it seems that as time goes on, more people feel the need to blame an organization, company, or individual for any inconvenience they experience. Instead of viewing occasional setbacks as a normal part of a large-scale event or life in general, there’s often an expectation that someone must be held responsible.

Bonnaroo is essentially a temporary city built in the middle of Tennessee. Weather changes, long lines happen, schedules shift, and unexpected problems arise. While legitimate criticism is absolutely important when safety or serious issues arise, many complaints seem to stem from the belief that every discomfort, delay, or inconvenience should have been prevented by someone else.

In a strange way, the better and more convenient life becomes, the less resilient we seem to become when faced with inconvenience. Maybe that’s the tradeoff we’ve made. We’ve become so accustomed to comfort that we’ve forgotten that some of life’s best experiences are messy, unpredictable, and occasionally uncomfortable.

I think festivals like Bonnaroo are better when we embrace that reality instead of fighting it. I’m personally just so thankful that we have to ability to experience something like this, and I think leading thoughts with gratitude will lead to a better life in general.

Roo is a Mindset.

What a view to end the weekend. 🎆✨🪩

Thank you to all that made it happen and all the friends made along the way. See you next year.

Also, if management is reading this… moving the dates to September/October would be immaculate. 🙏💦🌦️🌈
