My diy card box!

My diy card box!

The box was like 40 dollars at hobby lobby a few months ago, went back a few days ago and saw it marked down to 16.99...it had some scratches and I told the lady I'd need to repaint it (jokes on them that was my plan all along), so she dropped it to 11 dollars! The part that was the hardest was matching my Canva font free handing because my transfer skills didn't work with my shitty mechanical pencil lol but I think it turned out good! My wedding is at a modern art museum so my main decor will be flowers since the walls have literal masterpieces on them. I have fallen victim to the funky garden formal theme🫡✊

How much did you pay for a day of coordinator?

I'm struggling to find a reasonably priced day of coordinator. I thought $500-800 was going to be okay but I'm getting quotes from $1500-3500. It seems a bit much when I'm planning everything and talking with vendors. I just need someone to make sure everything runs on time the day of and help set up premade decor. I could ask a relative/friend to do it but I don't want to take away from their experience. Maybe I'm just insanely cheap...idk I didn't think I'd have to pay more than a DJ for this part. Bonus points to anyone who has a recommendation for a day of coordinator in the Baltimore area that isn't crazy expensive 😭

ETA: overwhelming response is that it's normal and worth the money. Sigh...I remember when I thought this wedding would be a maximum of 20k </3 that was such a cute thought I had.

Chaos garden progress

First pic was dug up by my dogs a few days later. I didn't know what would survive and I was out of town when it happened. My fiance bought me some established plants and the picket fence to make up for letting the dogs destroy my first attempt. Now it's complete utter chaos and it brings me immense joy. There are some broccoli growing heads and one cucumber plant made it through and is flowering now. The zinnias and marigolds are about to bloom as well! The birds and bugs have loved it! I don't care that it's "not right". Survival of the fittest in this household lol

The first picture was taken the last week of March and the last one was taken today!

Bee station and bird bath for my chaos garden--made with sea-glass and shells found in San Pedro!

My fiance is from SoCal, so when we visited his family last year we made a stop at a secluded beach in San Pedro to collect some shells and rocks and to my surprise a bunch of sea-glass! I put some of my prized pieces on it (blue sea-glass). I love how they came out! It looked like some birds had taken a bath before I went out there this morning (:

I need to plant something in a hanger for the bee bath/drinking station!

Also if you're interested in making one, I used a planter stake thing from the Dollar Tree and I got the plastic saucer for the bird bath for $3 at Lowes. I used a plastic pot that one of my plants came in for the bottom and hot glued everything together. You could just use a saucer if you have a good spot to put it but I wanted mine a little elevated!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the 90 Day Fiancé lovers out there. My sister sent me this artwork her 7 year old created (90 day is something we deeply bond over lol), and I think we are creating future 90 Day connoisseurs.

His birthday is the first week of June, and I'm having a hard time keeping this one a secret. I booked a tiny house on the river that is shaped like a UFO (he really likes sci-fi stuff) and they allow both of our dogs (and step children to each other lol). I'm genuinely stoked for this because 1. His reaction, I think he's gonna love it. And 2. It just looks so cool and up our alley! There's a ton of trails nearby and we can go kayaking and chill by the fire with the dogs. The stress of life and wedding planning has been so much and we deserve a getaway. Anyway, I can't tell him and I already told his mom and my mom and sister so Reddit was naturally the next best step.
