I have a surgical consultation tomorrow. I started having attacks 7 years ago. Pain in RUQ. No nausea, vomiting etc. they started every 6 months and are now every month, sometimes twice per month. They usually happen with my period and occasionally around ovulation. As I’ve gotten more into perimenopause the episodes have become more frequent. Stress/ extreme sleep deprivation has made me have more painful days over the last month- not full attacks but discomfort.
Two ultrasounds and a ct over the years were normal. Hida 6 years ago showed 23% ef.
I also have ibs.
I’m worried surgery won’t help and I actually have sphincter of oddi dysfunction and I could get worse after surgery.
Has anyone had pain without stones that resolved after surgery?
What age did your kittens eat on their own?
I have three 5 1/2 week old kittens that are not interested in eating in their own at all. I’ve tried kibble, their slurry in a bowl, baby food, tiki cat kitten food, fancy feast kitten food etc.
They were tube fed for their first 4 weeks because they refused bottles. They eat from a syringe pretty well now- they still refuse bottles.
I really need them to eat on their own so I can stop taking them to work with me. It’s such a production taking their playpen, litter box etc. They are also very distracting to my dancers and gymnasts when I’m teaching lol.
I’ve had these babies since they were 1 day old and their mama, a stray that had shown up , died giving birth.
My 4 week old kittens still aren’t using the litter box or eliminating on their own. I’m starting to stimulate them in the box should I just not stimulate them at feedings to see if they go? I’m afraid not to stimulate them because urine retention is bad.
A stray cat adopted us. She was pregnant but didn’t make it. She had two retained babies. We took her to the er vet because it was a weekend. They gave oxytocin to help pass the babies but she died two hours later.
I’ve had three babies since they were 1 day old. They are 4 weeks old today. I’m so tired from overnight feedings. How long can I go overnight to get more sleep?
They are all gaining well. The biggest is almost 600g.
A filling on my lower canine- buccal surface along gumline fell out today. It was a filling that was replaced in September. The dentist can’t see me until Monday. It was sensitive to air, cold, heat after it fell out. I rinsed my mouth with warm water with a couple drops of lugols iodine to disinfect it then placed an otc temp cavity filling. I’m hoping it stays in place. The tooth was very sensitive to the temp filling placement for a few minutes but sensitivity is gone now.
I do clench my teeth sometimes.
Will the tooth be ok until Monday?

Title says it. I’m just starting to research investing and I’m not sure how much I can convince my husband to invest right now so I’m starting with $100 per month. The way we budget, we each get $100 per month for personal use and the rest goes to family budget, savings etc. I’m going to use mine to start investing but I’m wondering if it’s really worth it if that’s all I can do right now
We had a stray show up and adopt us. We already have 7 cats and couldn’t bring more in but we made sure to feed and water her. She was pregnant. 1 week ago we went outside and saw she had 3 babies. She gave birth under a bush outside. We had put a large crate on the side porch for her but she chose the bush. She was acting normally all day.
Sunday we went outside and she was lethargic. She had moved the kittens to the crate. My husband took her to the er vet while I ran to petco to get bottles and kmr. She had two retained kittens. The vet gave her oxytocin and said she was stable and didn’t need an emergency c section yet. She died two hours later.
None of the kittens would latch on a bottle or syringe to eat and no shelters have a nursing cat to foster the babies. I used to be a vet tech before becoming a sahm 13 years ago so I got a feeding tube from the er vet and tube fed them for a few days. Wednesday they started latching on the syringe.
Yesterday one of the babies stopped latching. He is otherwise acting normally, rooting , etc but won’t latch so I’m tube feeding him again and he only gained 8g from yesterday instead of the 10-15 they should gain.
He is now 1 week old and weighs 168g.
I’m going to try a bottle later instead of the syringe but does anyone have any other suggestions to help him latch again?
I can not take him to the er vet today (regular vet closed on Saturday)
After what happened with mom, I don’t trust our local er vet and we have a huge credit card bill for the last visit. I asked for a c section/spay. She had a 104.7 fever and they just gave sq fluids and oxytocin.
