I made my first Thomas Wooden Railway story! 🚂

I recently started experimenting with making short stories using my Thomas Wooden Railway collection, and I just finished my first video!
The story follows Thomas as he’s given the job of delivering a group of animals to the new Sodor Zoo. Things don’t quite go according to plan when the cars become uncoupled on the mountain.

I’m hoping to turn this into a series if people enjoy it.
I’d love to hear what you think, especially any suggestions for future stories!

Cow car battery replacement

Has anybody replaced a battery on a cow car or similar?

If so, what was the process? Is it easily accessible once removing the screw?

Check-in Documents

Im 2 weeks away from checking in for my first cruise. I’ve seen multiple times to have documents ready to check in. The documents I’ve seen include headshots and passports.

I just want to confirm that I have everything ready so we can sign up for the royal gathering.

Documents
- headshot of each passenger
Is this just like the equivalent of a passport photo for each passenger? Should this be pdf or jpg ?
- passports
Is this just a scan/photo of the main page of the passport for each passenger? Should this be PDF or jpg?

We are taking dcl transportation from the airport in Orlando.
The travel agent said she has linked to our flights.

I can’t upload these documents before checkin, correct?

Is there anything else that we need to have prepared for check in?

I also read that you should attempt to sign up for Royal gathering before checking in, is that correct?

Sully / Sully & Boo Combo

How do you deal with the Sully and Sully & Boo combo without running Blue?

I just played a game online against red/yellow. Once sully & boo is on top of Sully, it feels like game over. You banish the character, Sully comes back, then they use Sullys ability to bring Sully & Boo.

I feel like the only way to stop the cycle is to find a way to put the card in their deck or inkwell.

Am I missing something?

Set 9-12 Theme Deck That Could Do Well?

I’m looking for a theme deck of cards from set 9-12 to try for set 13. I find theme decks more fun in general (puppies, princess, racers, illusions, madrigals, toys). I figure there has to be a theme that struggled because of the meta we were in that could do decent now. I’m not expecting this theme deck to be top tier, but I’m hoping for the enjoyment of the theme.

Im looking for advice or ideas from someone who tested out many theme decks and has their favorites. I wonder what the deck struggled against and why it could do better now.

Right now, I’m thinking toys, supers, or madrigals have the best chance to be good themes, but I was considering gargoyles. I know there are themes I forget exist too.

After 1st rotation, during set 9, I played an illusion deck. This deck was not meta, but could compete. I won multiple 8+ person weekly leagues with the deck and almost won a set champs with my illusion deck.

Illusions were not good in set 8 due to the amount of removal and steelsong. Once those rotated out, the deck did very well until new targeting actions and removal were introduced (set 10).

Shoe Clearance

This is more of a FYI for other parents.

Walmart has Paw Patrol shoes on clearance right now.

The clearance price in store for me shows at $10 for most sizes, but the Walmart.com price shows as $6.99. If you buy them online, it comes out to $13+ or if you go in store, they can price match.
Just sharing because $7 for a pair of new shoes that my kid will love is a pretty good deal.
Looks like the deal is also on the Marshall/Chase pair as well.

I’ve been playing this deck a bit online and have about a 55% win percentage. Please feel free to offer up suggestions or try the deck out yourself.

This deck is a lot of fun, especially once you get 2 Mickey - Expedition Leaders on the board.

Ideal start:
T1: Aurora
T2: Grandmother Willow
T3: Ariel w/ boost
T4: Sing Della’s, Headless horseman
T5: Mickey - Expedition Leader exerted, quest with others, sing horseman strikes

Things that seem off:
- The 1-drop. Aurora is nice if you have Ariel or Aurora in hand, but besides that, she’s just a body. Rhino is nicer turn 4+ if planning to play sisu or horseman, but seems too situational.
I haven’t decided a better 1-drop replacement though.

- Marching off to battle can be removed. It’s now just another inkable song that can help with card draw later in the game.
Thinking about replacing this with When You Need Help, Just Call.

Best matchups:
Aggro (dogs, toys, steelsong, basically any of them)
Blurple

Worst matchups:
Green/blue
Red/Purple

Now I am wondering how you actually classify your trains?

As a kid, it was just important for me to have 1 of each character at all.

For me now, I’d do it by sku. So for Thomas, pre-2012 counts as having him in the collection.

But we know there are variations between the years: staples, magnets, name on bottom.

So how would you track?
