So I was looking around yesterday and have started my trial with Zerosum. I noticed swiping was a thing there, so thought “lemme try that on YNAB”. JFC - we’ve all been bitching about the enshitification of the app, and no-one thought to mention that swiping is a thing?
Oh that’s right - because you fired your staff that would otherwise be here.
I’m not in love with Zerosum, and work protocols not allowing Actual to spin up but YNAB has pissed me off sufficiently that I cancelled my subscription yesterday. I’ll keep parallel running for a while, but Zerosum will grow on me I guess.
My bro's stick has stopped working (Sky Glass) - it just doesn't load fully. We sent it back to the dude, and it works on his TV. I gave him it back yesterday, and tested it - it works on my mum's TV - but still not his TV.
We used to use Avast SecureLine VPN, but that stopped working a few months ago, and I've not got round to getting another one sorted (yeah, I know! It's a task for this evening, definitely).
Anyone got any ideas why it will work on certain TVs and not others? If I get Nord on it (I've got a great offer, I think) then will that help? Other firesticks in the house work on all his TVs - just not this firestick.
I'll update when I get more details about his TV brand/model, as I'm assuming that's relevant. Though actually, it's not working on any of the TVs in his house, so maybe not?
I was at Wimbledon this week and bought a water bottle. I filled it with ice on Monday evening, and it still had some in it lunchtime Wednesday.
I’d love to get another one, but they’re pricey. Can anyobe identify the brand/model? It’s got no straw - just a spout. The opening mechanism has a small lock by way of a plastic latch. There’s a handle at the back for clipping to you bag. It holds 700ml, but I’ll take other sizes.
I figure someone from either Wimbledon purchasing or manufacturing may be here? Else does someone have a similar one?
I've been playing XCom for over 30 years. Started at Uni with X-Com: Enemy Unknown in the Comp Sci lab. There's a reason I got a 2:2 (middling grade). This computer was shared, so you only ever got a bit of time, and only one save slot. However, I freaking LOVED it. Didn't like Command & Conquer quite so much, and when I graduated and Terror from the Deep came out, I also played that.
Bearing in mind that this is the mid 90s, so forums, walk-throughs, mods - didn't exist.
In the early 00s, I bought a pack that kinda crashed on my newer PC, so didn't really play. Then found Steam - but again, I work in IT, so don't really get/want to sit at it for hours at night.
However, the XCom: Enemy Unknown on my iPad in bed? Well. That's a whole different thing. So - I've been playing little bits and bobs over the last few years, but it's SO MUCH HARDER than the original. I knew what I was doing with the original, and trying the same approach ends in death very quickly on this newer version.
I'm starting again, following Complete Pete, but doing it on Easy mode. I know - I'm a noob.
So I'm curious, there's not been one of these for a while: What do you play on, which is your favourite? How many have you played? Any completists?
I think I love Terror the most: Similar enough to EU, but a slightly better aesthetic. I'll play the new version, but primarily because I can't play (I don't think) the old versions on my iPad.
