Shoulder pads

I've looked on ebay and etsy and I'm having a time trying to locate pauldrons. I'm getting ready to start fresh and make a new army but I hate fucking with transfers. Any recommendations? Would prefer to buy from somebody in the sub!

Pause squats

So usually once every third leg day I’ll do my squat workout and then I like to do a back off set with pauses at the bottom. I topped off with a set of 345 for 3 on this day, and then bumped down to 225 or about 65% of my top set. My question is, do you guys ever pause at different levels, say like maybe 80% of parallel or is it better to just continue doing the motion the same and going all the way down? Any tips on these as far as what I’m doing wrong or right? I’ve only started this about the last month or so.

Question about deadlift

465 here. Grip gave out and I lost it. I grabbed some straps and got it on the next try with no issue. I do farmer carries and other grip exercises weekly to help, but I feel like I’m getting towards that plateau where the grip is going to give out before the body does. I also learned about torn biceps from this grip and decided that’s off the table now. My question is, are straps acceptable at this point, or should I focus on trying to get the grip strength up? I pulled

135 for 8
225 for 5
315 for 3
365 for 2
405 for 3
455 for 1

Leading up to this lift. Am I just gassing myself out and
This is just an effect from that? Looking for recommendations. I’m not sure if a deadlift is still considered a 1RM if you use straps to assist. Thanks ahead of time for any input.
