I let my friend borrow a dress for a wedding she was attending. Is it rude to ask her to dry clean it before returning it?

She wore it last night, and offered to drop it off this morning (not enough time for it to have been laundered). I feel bad because I offered to let her wear it because it would look good on her, she didn’t ask… but also dry cleaning is not in my budget right now.

I just don’t want to come across rude! I’m hoping I’m just overthinking this….

Me: “heads up, the dress is dry clean only! Please don’t put it in the wash!”

And she said: “oh thanks for letting me know, i’ll dry clean your yellow one as well and get those back to you soon!”

I went with mentioning that it’s dry clean only and not to put in regular wash (didn’t ask her specifically to dry clean it, but left it open to offer)

The yellow dress is a silk dress I lent her like two years ago and forgot about and just thought I lost it, so that’s a plus!!
