I order the 20 piece chicken tender meal (Jumbo tenders) from the Portillo’s/Barnelli’s location in Niles, IL pretty much every other week, and they’re usually really good. But I got them last night and something was completely off.

The breading was extremely dry, flaky, and crunchy, almost brittle. It tasted nothing like the usual tenders.

Hopefully this was just a one off experience because they’ve truly never tasted that bad, and isn’t the new normal. I know they were bought out by private equity but I never noticed a dip in the quality of their chicken tenders…

I'm currently two episodes into The Wire, and I'm not saying I dislike it so far, but it hasn't really grabbed my attention yet. I know the show is highly praised and is often considered one of the greatest TV shows ever made, if not the pinnacle of television.
For context, I've watched shows like The Sopranos, True Detective, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul, so I'm definitely used to slower paced, character driven shows. So I guess I’m just curious, when did the show really start to click for you or become genuinely compelling?
I'm only two episodes in, so I'm absolutely going to keep watching. I'm just curious if there's a specific point where it starts to really pull you in. Again, not trying to disrespect the show at all, I genuinely want to understand what makes it so highly regarded and I want to enjoy it!

I’m debating if I should pick up a PS5 Pro before GTA 6 comes out, however…
I already have an Xbox Series X and a solid PC, so I’m not really missing anything right now. But with GTA 6 launching on console first and no confirmed PC release at launch, I’ve been going back and forth on whether it’s worth buying a PS5 Pro for the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” version.
The other thing making this decision difficult is GTA Online. If there ends up being no crossplay between Xbox and PlayStation, I’d honestly rather be on PlayStation since a lot of my friends have switched over from Xbox in recent years.
