New Employee

Hi, I just hired at McDonald and attended the orientation. They never told me where to check your schedule or ask for req data off. When I asked they said ask you manager. I asked my manager but no response. When I went online my credentials are not working. Can you help me how to access that?

Walking into fast food restaurants after not hearing anything for 3 weeks?

Applied to many fast food places but haven't heard back. Thinking about walking into a restaurant and talking to a manager and handing in a resume... would that even make any difference? Are the managers themselves doing the hiring? Popeyes, Burger King, Wendy's anything tbh

I really need a job asap..... I might be overqualified due to my previous jobs but tbh I'll take any job atm and plan to stay there for the medium-ish term

Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Edit: USA

Do I as an employee have to pay for a delivery refund out of pocket?

I'm a new hire Burger King UK employee and I have been told by the management at my branch that I have missed out a few things in some delivery orders and that I need to pay for the refunds that the customers have ordered out of my own pocket.
They are saying that they checked the CCTV and that it was in fact me who messed up all these orders. In addition to this, management is also telling me that I need to pay this sum in cash as their card machine 'doesn't work. My family and friends are telling me not to pay it and to ask for some sort of contractual proof on whether I actually have to pay it or not. My manager is quite mean and I'm pretty sure she has some sort of vendetta against me so i'm kinda scared to challenge her. I'm also not sure if my branch is a franchise or not and how that could impact the rules around a situation like this. Does anyone have any advice on what l should do in this situation and if what they're asking for is legal or not?
