Torque Wrench
Hey car people, would anyone that owns a digital angle torque wrench be willing to rent/loan one for a head gasket job? It's a tool I'm not opposed to owning, but given that it's a job I'm not hoping to do often, I'm not hoping to buy such a specialized torque wrench. Unfortunately the local auto parts stores don't rent these. I don't care what brand, just has to be able to tell me with it hits 90 and then 45. Thanks in advance.

Start in second?
2000 Ranger, 4.0, 5R55E (allegedly), 4x4, 195k miles. Drives great all around town, no surging or shift issues. After turning it off, going to the store, whatever, and you come back, it's like the truck isn't in 1st when you start. It's 2nd or something else. Very slow acceleration and low revs even with a lot of pedal, sounds like lugging the engine. You can move the lever into L and then 2 and OD, and then it's good until you come to a stop again. Changed the fluid and filter (no idea how long it'd been, we've only had it 10k miles), had some buildup on the magnets, but no debris, plastic, or shavings I could see. Fluid was dark but not black.
Going to change it again and see if it's any better, but does this seem like it's trying to die or might be fixable without a full rebuild?
