Sooo many movies lately with the worst looking cartoon animals! They looks awful! It breaks my immersion immediately. Give me a animatronic over this crap any day. Seriously, the deer has fluffy fur like a dog, have none of the animators seen a deer IRL before???

Also they are standing in a yard, you are telling me you couldn’t bring in some deer from a farm to stand there while you grab some shots?

We have the tech to do near unlimited shots that look realistic but having animals that don’t look like blurry cartoons is just a bridge too far? I get it’s complicated to have animals on sets but we can’t figure out a way to cut and paste real animals with actors?

I refuse to believe this is an unsolvable problem.

I hate it, it never looks good, it takes me out of the movie so fast.

I’m selling 80% of my collection and have these OG Detolf cases for $50 each. Local pickup, I’ll even help you pack and load them.

I have looked at maybe hundreds of shelf’s now, this one has the most promise. It’s a custom IKEA BESTA. Looking to put Rivendell in the top middle, Minas Tirith on top, Shire bottom left. Barad Dur on top of the shelf on the right. And have some space for whatever size nightmare Lego has planned for us in 2027.

Thoughts?

Planning to get these to display Rivendell and Minas Tirith and the other LOTR sets. But can the top shelf be removed? These would be perfect if they could. I’m having a heck of a time finding anything that is both tall enough, wide enough, and deep enough for these absurdly large sets so if anyone has any recs I would be open to that as well.
